Everybody's Got A Myspace!!!!

Not to long ago, I got turned on to myspace.com, per request of my friend Anna :http://www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseac ... 0503142423 (sorry, I don't know how to hyperlink a word, feel free to teach me) and I've sort of had an addiction to it since. But lately, I've found out that even Jesus has a myspace!!! Some of my favorite Artists like Nellie McKay, Regina Spektor, Motion City Soundtrack, Robert Smith of The Cure, and Coldplay to name a few. Three of my teachers have mypace pages!!! (As well as pretty much the rest of Culumbia College Chicago) Is this the future of the internet? Everyone hanging out on myspace, viewing profiles, adding comments, and using their cool instant messaging system? Myspace invasion. Oh MY!

great! another place to hang out on the net...

the more time that goes by, the more i'm starting to think i'm wasting my time thinking about developing the studio eight site..

why bother when so many other places exist ? i mean there are sites all over the place where people can upload artwork and music and share their writings....

i'm thinking of just using those places instead of creating another place... lol

heh... lousy morning... yeah, i'm in a bad mood and it's morning to me even though it's already 1:45 pm because i didn't get up until noon. i shoulda slept longer.

don't you hate bad moods? don't you especially hate it when people tell you about their bad moods?

myspace is where people go to regurgitate their boredom. Studio eight is whwere we go to be enthused, and enthusiastic. I think we know who wins out here.

aww shucks... you ladies are too kind...

there's just so much more to this site... i mean, there's supposed to be.... we bought content management software and we can't figure out how to set it up to do what we want... we need help... and there's no time...

there's supposed to be areas where members can log on and add their writings and artwork and music, etc.... not only these discussion boards... but it takes time and work and apparently ya gotta have techie skills which we don't have .... i'm not sure if it ever will happen at this point...

i've hired my son, that is, i paid him in advance because he needed rent and electricity bill money, so he owes me 40 hours of work .... maybe he can figure out how to set the thing up...

i'm embarrassed, really, because i promised a site a year ago which would have way more to it than these boards and all i have up there are some artists pages and writers pages, but guess what? it was a lotta work and they rarely get hit... i know this because of my site meter....

what gets hit are the discussion boards and that's great... because these are interactive.... but the other pages just sit there with a rare hit... why is that? because interactive is what people want on the net...

i'm rambling... i'm just questioning my plan and asking myself, 'what's the point of continuing with it?'

i'll be better soon... it's 2:15 now... i've been up for 2 hours... when i wake up in a bad mood, sometimes it takes 3 or 4 or 5 hours to shake it...

i'm going to do some gardening therapy.... sunshine and flower seeds.... that will help...

i spend way too many hours on this computer... sounds like a drug... i'm on the computer... it IS a drug... it's a damn narcotic and i'm itchin' for withdrawal... i need to dry out, take a break, go to rehab... lol

thanks again, ladies... i really wasn't fishing for compliments, honestly!.... just feeling frustrated and questioning the value of my existence.... we all do that from time to time.... i think....

my keyboard's screwed up, by the way, that's why i'm using elipsises and no caps.... the shift key's defunct... got a new one on the way

hey D... I think we should do a lot more advertisemnt on these other sites. I've already plugged a likttle bit on livejournal... but Only once or twice. I'll try and scout people. To be quite honest, I don't visit the main site as much as i should. sorry. But i do adore u... i swear. Studie eight is the greatest and u'll get compliments even if ya ain't fishin for um.
