House Negro

for release 12-18-05
Washinton D.C.

If Thomas Jefferson was as arrogant as George Bush, I suppose he could have appointed Sally Hemmings as Secretary of State

Condi Rice's performance on Meet the Press this morning was a marvel. She invoked 9/11 no less than a dozen times and dutifully repeated every talking point in Karl Rove's grab bag of excuses for an unnecessary war and why 9/11 was carte blanche for any abuse foreign or domestic that the executive felt, or was told by god, was good, or at least advantageous. We can torture, we can lie, we can spy on our own citizens if the president, in his vast wisdom decides it should be so. He's just looking out for the safety and security of the American people.

Condi was being a good house negro.
There were two kinds of slaves, the house Negro and the field Negro. The house Negroes - they lived in the house with master, they dressed pretty good, they ate good because they ate his food - what he left. They lived in the attic or the basement, but still they lived near the master; and they loved the master more than the master loved himself. They would give their life to save the master's house - quicker than the master would. If the master said, "We got a good house here," the house Negro would say, "Yeah, we got a good house here." Whenever the master said "we," he said "we." That's how you can tell a house Negro.

If the master's house caught on fire, the house Negro would fight harder to put the blaze out than the master would. If the master got sick, the house Negro would say, "What's the matter, boss, we sick?" We sick! He identified himself with his master, more than his master identified with himself. And if you came to the house Negro and said, "Let's run away, let's escape, let's separate," the house Negro would look at you and say, "Man, you crazy. What you mean, separate? Where is there a better house than this? Where can I wear better clothes than this? Where can I eat better food than this?" That was that house Negro. In those days he was called a "house nigger." And that's what we call them today, because we've still got some house niggers running around here.

Rice is likely the most popular, visible member of this administration. It is not surprising that as BushCo circles the wagons in defense of their chicanery and failed policies and corruption, that they would send Condi out to Meet the Press as spokesman for the master. She sat there and tried with her best Oprah demeanor to sell the tired position that somehow the War on Terror and the war in Iraq have something to do with one another. Then, with mushroom clouds in her eyes, she invoked 9/11 a few more times by means of assuring the American people that it was perfectly OK for the National Security Agency to monitor their phone calls and emails. Massa says it's fo' yo' own good.

The only thing that sells better than fear is sex. That's why Condi is the perfect package. In her mock-dominatrix role as Secretary of State she endlessly stokes the coals of fear. Just listen to her talk dirty sometime. Put her in black spiked heel boots and she can convince you in a minute that terrorists are everywhere yapping like vicious dogs and just waiting to tear at the throat of America. This is the myth that BushCo has hung its hat upon for the past five years. It's starting to wear thin.

The American public is notoriously fickle. We get tired of hoola-hoops and eight track cassettes and Ashley Simpson very quickly. Sure, we'll go for the Maquerena or the Twist or pet rocks for a while, but soon we need a new thrill.

The War on Terror has lost it's thrill. Common sense is starting to rear its ugly head. The state of hyper-vigilance that this country has sustained since the spectacularly lucky and successful act of vandalism on 9/11 is beginning to become tepid. One or two of us have realized that if the combined forces of Al Queda and all the evil Islamic woman hating, freedom detesting terrorists in the world invaded this country, they couldn't take a city the size of Waxahatchie, Texas. Terrorism is a boogie man. Any vandal can do local damage, but that's no call to surrender our civil rights and underwrite imperial wars.

At the same time that Condi is on Meet the Press telling us that it's fine for the NSA to eavesdrop on our own citizens for purposes of national security, our country is being invaded from the South by millions of illegal immigrants per year. The Poet's Eye does not see this as a bad thing. We are a nation of immigrants. Immigrants are the sperm cells of our society. They work hard struggling toward the egg of the American dream. Today's doctors and judges and entrepreneurs are the children or grandchildren of immigrants. I wonder what the Mexican yard man could learn from the house nigger?

Colon Powell recently said that they were misled by lower level intel ops who failed to pass on upwards more acurate info that there were no WMD's.

Last nite speech bu the monkeyman hissself restated the same things over and over again, we are fighting them over there so's they won't come over here. He also said that the secret spying inside America was on "known Al Qaida operatives."

My wife said, "if they were known Al Qaidi operatives, why didn't they take them instead of just eavesdropping?"

I am sure we had a snoop at the last VFPeace meeting and have stated so to the prex and vp of our little group.

What next? Planting dope, fake documents, lies about statements, or what?

Lots of folks believe the prez and hold up Condi as well.
Scary.

Thjere was a political cartoon of her as Dominatrix a few weeks ago in the St Pete Times, but can't recall the name of the cartoonist. I had saved it to show my wife, then trashed it. I will get it when I spot the cartoonist again, will regognize the name and search. I tried already this morning, could not dig it out.
She is standing there with whip and in the classic dominatrix outfit.

(((shaking my head and smiling)))... very perceptive, C.B., and wittingly written. Tired of all the shit..??? You betcha'!!

"Better to fight them there than over here" is a old line that has been around too long... used during the 'commie threat' during Viet Nam I remember all too well. Yes, let's fight that super power of terrorist idiocy here.. all 2,000 of them. Call out the Hell's Angels and the Crips and Bloods... that's about the only army you'd need to eradicate the mother-fux.

Those words of doom and gloom outta the mouths of BushCo is what's scaring the hell out of our public... not the over-rated terrorists... they'd be fools to take on an armed country like ours... and they know it.

Twin Towers and the Pentagon??? We still don't know the full story behind that, and there is a far bigger story.

It was amazing to see him there making a holiday speech from the oval office, very well scripted no doubt.

Maybe he could go from being presidunce to grade B westerns.

As far as the "house nigga" moniker goes, well, lots of Afro-Americans are retired military, have done the Uncle Tom bit, sure, and have benefitted with pensions

I was thinking over the past few days about how it is when you cross the Man, I mean, it ain't a race thing. It is a political-cultural thing. Maybe we are dissappointed because we hope that Afro-Americans will all be progressive. (Indeed, I see the larger Afro-American block as one of the great hopes for this nation, call it the Great Black Hope if you will. But really, she is just a persona with amenable views to those of the neo-con artists in the Wart Haus.

I coulda done the same. I had it made. Brass reviews out of Nam, coulda laid low, enjoyed the beaches, played the game, looged up my jet time, done whatever the Man wanted me to do, I could've retired in 1989 after 20 years, had a pension in perpetuity and lived the good life without remorse or conflict.

In the intro to Kerouacs's Scripture of the Golden Eternity (City Lights) Eric Mottram, London, 1970. states,

"To achieve peace in active joy in this century perhaps more than any other has meant dropping out of the current power structure."

He goes on to elaborate, mostly in spiritual terms as well as "refusing to be held in by the history of the West."
By seeing oneself as continuous with the universe, how could one "live in a world of boundaries held rigid with coercion by the State and its educational agents?" But really doing it, saying NO to the Man, just once, in a really keen way, puts you on the path less chosen. It has its challenges, and you can never go back. Kerouac "lived out strategies of survival for the changing self."
Chop wood, carry water, move from the breath, dig.

Dig, most folk buy into the common scheme. How else could these neo con artists keep on repeating the same themes I mean 9-11 it's a changed world, get them over there first, they came over here and attacked us killing 3,000 people, and we hadn't attacked them before, so it means we have a war on terror, i take full responsilly bits for the pre-war itelligence on Iraq (notice here there's no qualifying descriptives used around said intelligence, words that would carry emotional and subjective connotations, like "false" "inadequate" etc, it was the fault of the underlings

the underlings in the neo con intelligence communityhad not passed up the complete picture, and you go to war with the intelligence that you have, yes

they maxed their profits tho, clever fellows that they are, and the whole scripted scenario for the ongoing Iraq thing is an unfolding screen play, indeed, and they are now saying that the Iraq War can be won, and it is somewhat believeable,
a total success, yes a stunning video of the "power elite" model

music makes it all complete, salaam,
who'se counting the votes? thank allah, the camel's in the courtyard, have a smoke of kief.

Looks like C Wright Mills nailed it in the 1950's.
Good link jimbo.
thanks
Some news woman interviewing Condi asked her if she will run for president in 2008. I bet the security moms will love her.

Cecil, ya trying to give me another anxiety attack?

Good one LR,
The blacks in san antonio are odd man out, and they know it.
The joke about the evacuation plans for sanato in an emergency,
all whites take 35 north, texicans take 35 south, and blacks take loop 410.

Latino largest fastest soon to be majority? Five Catholics on the supreme court? I just picked up a book from the early 1900's How To Avoid Hell. No way in hell to avoid it for my heretic ass I suppose, just trying to pack some summer clothes. They say it is hot there.
I used to be smart

There are 80,000 names on the "terrorist watch list."

( source: Pentagon, December 9th/ New York Times)

That's a hell of a lot of Al -Qaeda operatives to eavesdrop on.

Fact:

Many US Navy personnel are on 24-hour- "watch and wait" duty, scanning the Cuban waves for the non-existent "Al-Qaeda Navy" at Guantanamo.

http://www.nybooks.com/articles/18550

( I strongly recommend "The Strange Case of Chaplain Yee" to anyone interested in the US military's SOP ( Standard Operating Procedure) at Guantanamo.)

They still have those Korans, by God and Uncle Sam!

LOL! That's a good cartoon.

80,000 names, eh? That's a large enough number to include everyone on this website, so tread lightly, friends.

There are too many "house negros" in the world these days. They come in all shapes and forms, and the WHITE ones are the worst. I get disgusted and tired of it all. Try telling the TRUTH for a change instead of whatever BS you think will help you get what you want for your PERSONAL reality. Gimme a break. What was once true of one class of people is increasingly true of us ALL.

What does that mean?

It means that we are all becoming SLAVES.
