State of the Union IMPEACHMENT Rallies

Post by abcrystcats » January 22nd, 2006, 1:20 am

Are you going to the one in your town?

There was a full page ad in the New York Times yesterday.

Now Harry Belafonte has gotten the nation's attention with his recent remarks.

If you don't know about this, click on the link. This is a nationwide happening, very well-organized, and you can find the protest locations and times very easily.

The way things are going for that Son Of A Bush. He's already following the same path that Nixon took.

Thanks for this link, cat ... they have one forming in Berekley - Sproul Plaza and then on to SF...

California:

Berkeley: All-day rally in Sproul Plaza, UC Berkeley, 11am-4pm. Then mobilize to Union Square in S.F. at 5pm.

San Francisco: 5pm Rally at Union Square
6pm Bring the Noise. Drown Out Bush's Lies.
7pm Bush statue toppling (30 ft tall paper mache statue)
For us, it's almost do-able. We talking about it right now, working out logistics. Eric wants to come too ... but he's in class. Going from Berekley to SF would be a traffic nightmare; and that part we wouldn't do. But the Berkeley part ... it's do-able.

BTW, fyi and for those who want to watch; there is a real-time webcam already running at Sproul Plaza

Deb,

I spent many afternoons in Sproal Plaza. I saw the free speech demonstrations there starring Mario Savio. Then the People's Park riots a couple of years later.

My daughter is in Berle;eu right now. She'll probably be there rolling tape.

Pardon my ignorance, but what the heck is "Berle;eu" ?

....

Cool about actually being there during that time, being part of what you’ve been part of and seeing what you’ve seen. All I’ve ever done is read about it. Extra cool that your daughter’s there now, too. Cal’s a UC Berkeley alumni.

Me … I’m a nothing.
:D
