GIs may be facing death in Iraq Rape

"DO NOT ENCOURAGE BERSERKING"
Jonathan Shay, M.D., Ph.D. I wonder what his doctorate was in. He sounds like an anthropologist to me.

ok, i admit it. I am an a$$hole. I got opinions too.

I hope that will never happen. no death penalty for those soldiers.

In world war one they executed soldiers for shell shocked, then they called it battle fatigue, then PTSD

Doreen I think my facts are about 80percent true. I was appalled at a post I read a few weeks ago something about "when the first american soldiers stepped foot in Vienman in 1964"

Kind of shocked me. Vietnam was the longest war we ever fought. Tweny seven years? maybe only twenty five.

Our war on Iraq could beat that record maybe. I don't want to even go there. I would rather play a good game of Stratego. Or Chess even..

You are right Doreen it is a death penalty just being there.

For some reason I keep thinking about Adrea Yates. Her husband is a real nice guy. He just got remarried recently. Yates had five children, after each birth a psychotic post partumn depression set in. But he kept right on knocking her up. A hell of nice guy. I don't think she got much support from her doctors or her minister of what ever church she was going to when she heard the voices in her head that told her to drawn her children so as to save them from Satan.

Anyway her death penalty conviction was overturned. She got a new trial after they found out that the psychiatrist who presented the most damming evidence for the prosecution was quoting from a script for a TV drama, CSI or one of those ilk.

I suppose I have a point here. It is this: The ring leader, the soldier (private Green) who who instigated the crime was discharged after a psychiatric evaluation last may that apparently was not connected to the crimes.
Apparently Green had a history of being a bad actor, if he remained in civilian life his character flaws may have made him a petty criminal. If andrea yates was given some options she might have only had two children instead of five.
I suppose my point is this.

George W Bush is a hell of a nice guy.
