but I did not see the moons full face
she hid behind clouds and trees
but what I did see makes me want to rant too
channeling a passing train
i said to wireman we have a lot in common
I could say the same to you
I always liked the the expression
my bettter half
she is yours

well back to this corn moon
you also channeled about Israel
get out of the area
Which area do you mean?

as you may have noticed i am "touchy" on the subject of Israel. But as Woody Allen said, objectivity is subjective.'

if by channeling you mean mindless keyoard jitterbuging with no anger in your words even they they are angry? I delete a lot of those posts. If I can get back to them. I deleted one about the Nazi Pope. because I really was angry.

this is a good morning for me to channel I got every window in my rail road shack open. I suppose this would be just another dreary day for mnaz in Seattle but it is paraidse here.

believe me compadre there is no anger beyond these words. it is too beautiful a morning for that.

a glorious day
the morning fading fast
what a day on this holy ground, this holy land of earth.

Feels like its saturday and it still humpday here.

I ain't pissed about the Nazi Pope
it figures,
George Bush jacks my jaws
but I suppose time will tell
was he the long waited for great white brother

going gone outside just waiting on a friend>>>>>>>>>>>>

This rant has been going on since 8/10... with another full moon offically lighting up the night skies 9/07. I wonder if I'll have a rant then..? If so , I'll have to choose my words carefully. It could get me in trouble if I choose to speak my evil side.

Truck - when I said 'channeling' I meant that I pick-up the feelings of many people... their initial responses to this terror act that is taking over the world... and not just by Al Qaeda-types, btw.

I do wonder why U.S. of Arsenal is so fucking large. This quote I picked up from wagingpeace.org (June 2001) :
"The U.S. nuclear arsenal today includes 5,400 warheads loaded on intercontinental ballistic missiles at land and sea; an additional 1,750 nuclear bombs and cruise missiles ready to be launched from B-2 and B-52 bombers; a further 1,670 nuclear weapons classified as “tactical.” And just in case, an additional 10,000 or so nuclear warheads held in bunkers around the United States as a “hedge” against future surprises." (Newsweek, 6/25/01)
And this does not include chemical and biological weapons. You know deep down in your 'soul' that there will be no U.S. leader reducing that arsenal by any significance in the near future. So why have 'we' invested so heavily in this stockpile of death? Initially, it would seem that this would be a huge deterrent to anyone fucking with America, but it ain't so. Why? Like so many of the responses to this thread, apparently everyone else knows that America would never use this arsenal against anybody, any time, any where for fear of world reprisal. If this is true to any extent at all, then this is all for nothing. And yet...

So how do we defend the country? We invest billions in new-age weaponry - tanks, planes, ships... on and on and yet we are not winning the war in Iraq. We are not winning a war in Afghanistan. We did not win the war in Viet Nam. We did not win the war in Korea. And to think we've invested in all this nuclear warheads over the long years for what?

Think for a moment how many dollars have been spent globally on weapons of destruction that could be used for peacful purposes. Is this really a sane act? What do we humans really fear? Ourselves?

_________________

Truck... you asked about Israel, in particular:
<i>"you also channeled about Israel
get out of the area
Which area do you mean?"</i>

As I said in this original thread... get out of there (in so many words). Why? As I stated, as long as I can remember Israel has been at war with some faction or another of Muslims. As you know, this is not just 58 yrs old, but historically, the Jews have been fightinig with the Muslims for way longer than 56 years.

As our world continues to populate worldwide, for the State of Israel to continue believing they have a right to exist separately from the rest of the Mid-East, there will be continued fighting. Why wouldn't there be? (Re: Tribal Integration, Sunday Stream). The world cannot separate itself. Those days are long gone.... and growing. We are, whether we like it or not, a global society. We must continue integrating our lives in order to survive together. This, of course, includes the Muslim fundamentalists - they also have to give up their idea of a world theocracy... it just ain't gonna happen. Same for North Korea. It's all bullshit, one turd at a time, piling up, polluting the inevitable future of mankind.

I'm convinced that these are New Times (Modern Times..?) that are struggling towards the light under the canopy of old ideas, old religions, old political ideologies, old energy sources, old economic patterns... the world, it's people, are in dire need of change. Whether this country can lead the way or not is also at stake. The U.S., among other world powers, has to realize the necessity for a massive world shift of consciousness, and this can only be accomplished with dialogue. Dubya is totally inept at dialoguing with anyone... he can't even carry on a dialogue with 50% of his own country. We need intelligent leaders that have intelligent ideas that speak of aiding the world and not raping the world. That path will only lead to the destruction of all hopes and dreams of all mankind. The nuclear death that is stockpiled globally can and will be used by those that insist that their way is the only way... a doctrine of ego-centricity that threatens life on earth. Only madmen can perform those heinous acts... why do we allow them power?

mtmynd, your post points to the crux of the issue.

our military machine (that ol military industrial complex) isnt designed to win wars.

the only war that the american people would demand victory in would be a war that involved an invasion of america. and that is highly unlikely (altho the govt's focus on non-winning military strategies which disguise the military-industrial complex put us every day more at risk of that happening).

so - why are we building this stockpile? to make money.

the weapons manufactures that the pentagon contracts to are making money. the govt is in bed with these companies, and our elected officials are paid by these companies via lobbyist to do their bidding, literally. the weapons serve no purpose except to transfer tax money to the corpgov structure and the have-mores of bush's base.

beyond that, of course, we send billions of dollars in cash and weapons to our enemies and allies abroad. not to fight winnable wars or even wars that have valid military strategies. we do it in order to maintain the status quo of cash coming in to america, to build labor and commerce markets abroad, and to keep smaller nations fighting amongst themselves.
and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.

Re: Tribal Integration
Retribal integration,
Yes I am for that.
But Israel has almost less credibility now than the United States. A secular Israel seems like a pipe dream. But I don't deny the state of Israel the right to exist. But I would deal with the right of return. I will believe in a 2 state solution. Palestinian refugees now four million. they have the right of return too. But where. Meanwhile "Never Again" Maybe Iran does need a bomb. A balance of terror, a chance for Israel to see what is on the end of the nuclear fork. As the Christian Zionist said on one of those God Inc TV stations, "Israel has a strong end game."

Masada my ass.

As for the military industrial complex Dr Milton Eisenhower's brilliant fair well address for his brother. I have not read that yet.

So tonights the full moon
Channel on amigo.

We might have built those dooms day devices for the dough
but I believe Israel is looking at a different bottom line.
I watched Dr Strangelove again last night. I can't believe how funny I used to think that movie was.

MILTON S. EISENHOWER DIES AT 85: SERVED AS ADVISER TO PRESIDENT
Milton S. Eisenhower, the diplomat and educator who was president of three institutions of higher learning and an adviser to six Presidents of the United States, including his brother, Dwight, died yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He was 85 years old. Mr. Eisenhower had been hospitalized with various ailments several times in recent months and had entered the hospital again five days before his death, according to Sue Hart, a Johns Hopkins spokesman. An owlish, affable man, Mr. Eisenhower was a curious blend of urban sophistication and rural industriousness whose long and distinguished career spanned more than a half century and carried him into the highest echelons of education and government. He was, over the years, a trouble-shooter for President Roosevelt, helped President Truman reorganize the Agriculture Department, negotiated with Fidel Castro for President Kennedy, served President Johnson as head of a commission on violence and headed study groups for President Nixon.
May 3, 1985 U.S. Obituary
In the penultimate draft of the address, Eisenhower initially used the term military-industrial-congressional complex, indicating the essential role that U.S. Congress plays in propagating the military industry. But, it is said, that the president chose to strike the word congressional in order to avoid offending members of the legislative branch of the federal government. The author of the term was Eisenhower's speech-writer Malcolm Moos.

Iran should have no nukes because its getting nukes justifies the US increasing its arsenal.

The hypocritical nature of nonproliferation shouldn't let us ignore the fact that more weapons equals more terror.
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

Thanks for calling me on that. It was a stupid thing to say, Mutual Assured Destruction means just that. Just my despair speaking.

This is from the News Hour on Pbs tonight.

U.S. military action
MARGARET WARNER:
A similar tone prevailed during a weekend visit by U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan. The regime didn't give an inch, saying, Iran wanted to negotiate, but without any preconditions.

For all the tough talk from the top, on the fringes, some are trying to promote a face-saving compromise. One proposal would see a freeze on industrial-scale enrichment, but allow a small pilot program. That's advocated by reformist parliamentarian Kazem Jalali.

KAZEM JALALI, Iranian Parliamentarian (through translator): I think that this is a logical option, and somehow its steering the middle course. We are talking about a win-win situation. And the only way to get that win-win situation is this option.

MARGARET WARNER: But Jalali admits he has no idea if the Ahmadinejad government would go for it. His target, he said, is the supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.

KAZEM JALALI (through translator): It is the leader that has to endorse our nuclear positions and policies. We will be able to provide technical advice and information to the leader. And, ultimately, the decision will be his.

MARGARET WARNER: So, the internal struggle for consensus is under way, on one side, reformists inside government, like Jalali, and their supporters, like newspaper publisher Atrianfar, who are concerned about the consequences if a compromise with the West isn't found.

Are you afraid that the United States will attack Iran?

MOHAMMAD ATRIANFAR (through translator): Yes, the concern is really there. Usually, the intellectuals here and those in authority take that quite seriously. The Iranian elite and intellectuals are constantly recommending to the authorities that their policies should be aiming at peaceful ends.

MARGARET WARNER: On the other side, government hard-liners, and those close to them, like newspaper editor Shariatmadari. He dismisses the prospect of a U.S. attack.

HOSSEIN SHARIATMADARI (through translator): We hear from certain American authorities that they have targeted certain sensitive areas. We are prepared for a war. And, if Americans decide to do that, the beginning of the war may be to their benefit.

MARGARET WARNER: Meaning?

HOSSEIN SHARIATMADARI (through translator): First of all, the Americans are all around us, on the west side and the east. There are many sensitive areas we can reach. Our people have been wishing for many years to have a confrontation with the Israelis. This will give them an opportunity.

MARGARET WARNER: It's a struggle that's familiar to Americans who dealt with revolutionary Iran, between the hard-liners and the so-called moderates. The challenge is, as always, to understand what is coming next from this multilayered and ultimately unknowable country that is the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Yeah seems like every baby born in 1953 looked like Ike.

I remember him fondly as the last US president to stand up to Israel, France and Great Britian.

I forgot what the pretense was for that 1956 Suez war.

You know what always comes to mind when you mention Kerry?

Those well tailored women wonks that clustered around him. What were they thinking. "swift boated", "borked",?

Geez what the hell was wrong with his campaign. Maybe it was the fact that he did not start campaigning until the last couple weeks of it, after he had been Osama-ed.

Boy oh boy
I been thinking about buying that old board game called Stratego cause I am so full of opions I don't have enough ass holes to express them.

Mozart hammering away at the key board
me just channeling the pretty noise.
