it´s quite probably that Mc Cain & friends are expecting Obama to win Hillary. It´s also quite problable (at least seeing from a loooong distance) that the republicans feel more secure with Obama as antagonist: they would perform their play in a more dramatically and effective way with him in that place.

and yeah, sometimes presidential elections specially feel like a chess game with a carnival noise in the background
