I can't help thinking that some lobbying company made a nice fee off that piece of legislation, I guess it will save a lot of energy but I been wondering about millions and millions of those things in the trash bins of amercia.. I mean it sounds like a cool idea but what about the unintended conseguences. Mercury is a bitch.
I wonder how many bulb factories GE has in China?
They say the those bulbs do save a lot of energy. Why is he going on about Edison. The incandescent bulbs are probably made in China too .

Been a long time since e-dog posted a poem to creative. I just missed him.
You know all these years and I do not know anything about him. He could be a woman for all I know. I know he is far better educated than me.
He wrote one poem that was very helpful. But you know what an ingnorant fuck I am about poetry. Maybe it was not a poem. I try to leave those weighty judgements to the poets here.
I called this a poem, but for all I know it could be a meatball or a turtle necked sweater

He wrote that on November 5, 2007 and it was like he threw me a lifeline. But what has he/she done for me lately?

given the amount of poetry we read here daily, i'm beginning to wonder what the hell a poem is, too. you may be right... a meatball or a turtle necked sweater could just as easily be poems we eat or wear. but it's acceptable for poems to be visual... like take a short story, divide it into separate lines, each line is own space and, voila!, it becomes a poem... magical. that's what happens when rhyme is discarded, when meter is unknown... poems become vague shapes on paper like songs without rhyme, without meter becoming something other than songs.

Fluorescent lamps been around a long time. But not in the numbers those compact bulbs will be turning up in our dumpsters. Yeah it is nasty stuff but I thought the warning labels about what to do if one breaks were over the top.
I wonder what the scoop on LED lights are? I think they are the real deal but probably very expensive.
