What's with this VETO business of children's healthcare?
WHY THE HELL AREN'T THEY IMPEACHING THE BUSHKO THUGS???????
I'm not against an expanded childrens' health care program but can't we focus on ending this war first?
I mean for Chrissakes! It just astounds me now easily we are refocused to outside issues.
Just outsource heathcare or something, and get on with getting these criminals out of power.
CUT THE CRAP! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, who cares about childrens healthcare. lets focus on whining about the war while not stopping it, and letting iran get invaded.

I care very much about children's healthcare. Very much.
But I also care about children's welfare, and I don't think this war is giving any of us, no matter what age, very good karma.
It's first on the list of must do's....ending this godddammmmeddd war! And ending the power that Bushco has so overtly abused.......at our costs!
I don't think it's funny anymore y'know. I can't laugh, or be above it at this point, i'm just totally disgusted/mixed with alarm. What will come next? Apathy? Or was that before????? How does one deal with this?
We're goin over the top if we attack Iran.....
Scares the shit outta me!!!!!

You cannot simply give up all other issues b/c a war's on; otherwise, that becomes the perfect wag the dog tactic that can always be used: for get about XYZ, there a war going on!
The problems also that just as or before oppposition can effectively grow to one war, Afgan, Iraq, there a new one, then Iran?
Its insane that so many people can be against the current war and a new opnes brewing. Anyone who believes in democracy has to stand up and demand the Democrats fight Bush and defund his criminal wars. The Democrats are collaborators with a tyrant and they must stop being so.

simple majority don't cut it
This governmenent was set up by rich white guys to be a republic, I don't think they quite trusted the peoples will to be done, made it tricky
the electoral college for one thing.
it is democracy (ferlinghetti wrote a swell poem called Totalitarian Democracy.
Yep it can be done but by the time the dembos get two thrids senate and 3/5

Somehow the populist majority has got to come out, every so often I make a remark to someone new,
Presidunce Butch is here today in St Petersfart
I never go near him
I said to the air conditioning man this morning as he was here (it's Florita, man) I was not gonna go see the asshole, alls I would do is give him a thumbs down. He says that he would give him more than that.
The fucking unnessary wars are so gawd awful expensive, and the neo-cons are so fucking stingy about anything spent on the public, mercy, and so I hope folks will start making the connection between being conned and being screwed.
Hope for the hopeless.
not wasting away in Margaritaville, Florita

Sounds like you been watching the Ken Burns show on that Nessary war.
I don't know what a neccessary war is jimbo. Rwanda?
I am too fucking old to tell anyone to go fight a war
I am a pacifist by senility.
Seems like every war just makes the next one necessary.
Don't mind me I am full of quaker pacifist bullshit.

well for instance when we stopped the serbians from their shelling of sarajevo and also their genicodal intent in kosovo, we also bombed a civilian train in serbia as well as killed civilians with the bombing of montenegro.
in afghanistan, we shot up a wedding party with our gunships, and are still killing civilians there.
these are more justifiable wars, as they have a true international support, but have their awful and clumsy tragic consequences
what i am sayibg is that any war opens up doorways into tragedy and that no matter how good and decent the military people are going into wars, they will become brutalised and committ atrocities, either with intent or by accident.
my sister's quaker godfather said that he and my long dead daddie and their b-24 bomber crew were unable to drop their bombs on target over germany in ww2 so on the way back they dropped all their bombs on a german village
i know a guy who dropped a phosphorus flare onto a vietnamese village, burning it to the ground
he was at phan thiet, the artillery base where my kia drawing with cargo plane was remembered, killed by a sapper's knive at night
he said that after he burned down the village, they were attacked less often for awhile
so anytime that we go into a war we will committ atrocity
unfortunately, in the case of iraq/iran, we don't have a developed and skilled international diplomacy established
with the taliban, they were supposed to have offerred us osama, we could've said ok, give him here, but also demanded the taliban prez, who did not want to offer up himself, and we could've gone after the al-qaida training bases and spefically after them, but they were embedded into the talibani government, so i supported that one, with the civilian casualties being a minimum
maybe i am rationalising this so as to seem to have some credibility about rejecting the iraq debacle
i think that texas should have never joined either the union or the confereracy also
viva cantinflas where is he when we need him?
