Or just another stupid FEMA mistake?
Folks, this is an outrage, and terribly frightening.
This really freaks me out.

Yeah bring it on FEMA, way to go brownie.

You know Hester when I think about how the main stream media reported on the run up to the war in Iraq I am not that shocked. It sounded like a normal press conference to me.

Interesting show on PBS last night Bill Moyers about local ownership of the media and the new changes being rushed through by the FCC. There is a big hurry to get this done by December. I wonder if it has anything to do with getting a new regime in washington in january.

There has been hardly mention of the latest move by the FCC in the main stream media. Moyers said that is because big media has a lot to gain from the changes. Liberal media my ass.

MOYERS: My next guest is one of five people who from one month to today will decide an issue crucial to democracy in America.

Most of you probably don't even know what's about to happen, but the Federal Communications Commission is going to decide whether any one media company can control more than 35% of the nation's audience or own the newspapers and television stations in one market.

Michael Copps is one of those five commissioners on the FCC. He has almost single-handedly conducted a series of public hearings around the country, inviting citizens to speak up on the issue.

With the clock ticking, he's been calling for even more public hearings. But the chairman of the FCC, Michael Powell says nothing doing.

NOW with Bill Moyers. Politics & Economy. Media Consolidation on ...Inside the FCC: Bill Moyers talks about the media ownership with FCC Commissioner Michael Copps. NOW's correspondent Rick Karr talks with FCC Chairman ...
