They prohibited in Rio de Janeiro a coach on the Nazi holocaust
0 comments e-mail printing Hundreds of dummies of the artistic proposal "Is espeluznante". A court of the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro prohibited yesterday to the school of samba Viradouro to parade with an allegoric coach of the Nazi holocaust that represents bodies burned and that is presided by a dancer disguised of Adolf Hitler, they reported judicial sources.
El court accepted a demand of the Israeli Confederacy of Rio de Janeiro (Fierj) and impeded that Sunday Viradouro expose its coach during the crowded spectacle that will close the first day of parades.
La Julian judge Kalichsztein accepted the argued of the Fierj, presented by the lawyer Ricardo Brajterman, that “la monstrosity of the holocaust finally does not combine with the excessively festive spirit of the carnival, world-famous festival by the happiness, the humor, the relajamiento and the eroticism”.
La sentence condemns “la clear banalización of the barbaric and unwarranted events practiced against the minorities and headed by the figure execrable call Adolf Hitler”.

“Es espeluznante”. The float of the Nazi holocaust, one of the eight that would present Viradouro when parade Sunday in the second day of the samba schools contest of the call first division, is part of the thematic one “Es espeluznante”, that will develop the carnival group.
La allegory shows a battery of skeletal corpses, surrounded by old shoes, alluding to the millions of dead Jews by the politics of extermination of Adolfo Hitler during World War Two.
Por its part, Paulo Clays, idealizador of the subject matter that will carry Viradouro to the samba schools contest, defended the representation of the Nazi holocaust and affirmed that in Brazil not reproof exists.
“La coach is extremely respectful, is a warning, is somewhat horrible that the people does not want that occur more”, affirmed Clays.
Viradouro is proposed to abound this year in references to shocking facts in the history and of the present time through coaches, sculptures and disguises combined with scores of dancers and musicians and its famous half-naked women.
La proposed artistic includes from images of cockroaches even in the Kama Sutra, passing for memories of the film “El exorcist” and of the Nazi holocaust suffered by the Jewish town.
“Ni even the carnival can reduce the memory of the devastating effects of the wars and the desolation caused by the exterminations in mass”, argues the list of credits of this recreational guild.
“Las images of the Nazi holocaust impede that the humanity forget the dangers of the intolerance and of the disrespect to the diversity, and that Viradouro sample in name of the peace”, affirms the Samba Schools League, the maximum authority of the Special Group.
Pero the judge ordered that “la school abstain to exhibit in its parades of carnival any dancer disguised of Adolf Hitler, as well as a coach that portrays naked corpses victims of the Nazism”.
El verdict establishes a fine of 200 thousand real (some 114 thousand dollars) in the event that the coach parade, and of 50 thousand real (28,500 dollars) if the dancer disguised appears of Hitler that was going to preside it.

Jewish criticisms. The Jewish community of River already had tried at the beginning of the week that the school canceled the coach with the image of the skeletal bodies, burned and stacked.
Pero its decision to resort to the Justice, before the judge of guard of the court of Rio de Janeiro, precipitated night before last when knew that, besides the bodies of the Dummies mutilated, was predicted to carry the figure of Hitler in the high thing of the coach.

yo voy a empezar mis leccionies, coach
ah en engliz we call it a "float" in the carnival parade

Yesterday, a court of the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro prohibited the school of samba Viradouro from parading with an allegoric coach of the Nazi holocaust that represents bodies burned and is presided over by a dancer disguised as Adolf Hitler,

mercy they are saying that if the jewish group had not resorted to civil action, they were thinking about burning it!
what would Bajtin think about it?

your spanish lessons? good jimbo!! maybe I start lessons in portuguese this year if the timetable allow it (I already realized that I will never learn english well or be able to begin to learn french) so, my options are portuguese, italian and to insult in german!!!

the Hitler representation from what I´ve read from Bajtin and the carnavalization of culture wouldn´t be a problem (a good example of that would be Chaplin), but the pile of bodies......mmm. The makers said that the intention was denunciar. Maybe the context and the thrilling abstraction was too much. If there are people molested maybe that´s the limit.... but carnival is about molesting people... the question would be what kind of people do you want to be molested  . Anyway, I already called a hotel administrator "kind of nazi" (with a smile) there (then he told me it was his birthday...) and Rio´s Carnival is beyond my comprehension capacity

Switzerland? thanks, not now!!!. I already wanted to live in Heidi´s land when I was 8!!!!!!!!!
and talking about Cinderella.... Dylan is coming to the Hipódromo´s town!!!!!!! :D :D :D . I´ll surely be wearing tennis shoes or ojotas and he´s not the prince-king type so I´ll try to avoid to say that I admire him beyond the applausses (just in case... mmm... but it could also be funny to taste his frozen bitterness too  ). I´m now in the time of the month I´m zero money so I´ll wait until tuesday and I hope to buy the pesos 75 cheapeast ticket!!!!!!!! wow!!! :D :D :D

The Parque de la Independencia was the first park in the Rosario. Its origin lies in four public squares at the intersection of two then newly opened large boulevards, Santafesino and Argentino (today Oroño Boulevard and Pellegrini Avenue). The four-part plaza was named Independencia.
In 1900 the provincial government authorized the municipality, presided by mayor Luis Lamas, to expropriate the lands to create a new park. The plans for the park were drawn by landscape architect Carlos Thays (famous for his work in the Buenos Aires Botanical Garden, among many others). In 1901 the municipality built the internal avenues and roads, an artificial lake and, with the earth removed for the lake, a small artificial hill (even today known as La Montañita, the Little Mountain). That year, also, the First Festival of the Tree took place, and 6,000 trees were planted by students in the park, which was inaugurated on 1 January 1902.
are you trying to show us up, the good old USofA?

mmm...... where´s your carnival spirit, uhhh?

I finally got my Dylan´s Concert ticket!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D It costed more than I expected (pesos 125, they started selling them about one week ago and it seems the cheapest ones were already sold and there are people that have money here at the end of the month  ). On the other hand, money at the beggining of the month tends to be only a fluidity entity to myself so I bought it!!!!!!!!

things usually are too much fast and too much slow here (all at the same time, yeah..!! )

everything is not as it sounds, jimbo I spent money in january. And one way or the other it´s difficult I have some money at the beggining of the month . My Dylan´s ticket price is more or less the equivalent to three kilos of cheese nowadays here. I think I can live without eating cheese two months

is it technically already Ash Wednesday? no idea!!!!! Or is the next week? Maybe I can ask Eliot about it!!
