yes we can implies a state of mind a real direction

it's been the shits so far

i hope a whole bunch of reactionary right-wingers
have to wake up and smell the roses

The Nation endorses O'Bama

My entire life from my twenties and thirties was lost, effectively, due to alienation and PTSD. The healing that took place is ongoing. Most of the people I know are divided between progressive and conservative, regardless of age.

I see Hillary Clinton as in individual who has the ability to grow. Obama has not proven that as yet, which is why I believe that he is too new in politics to know well. I never heard his voice speaking out against the Iraq War, yet now he accepts the endorsement of John Kerry, who was nuanced about the Iraq War vote and who voted for it, along with Clinton. I served in Vietnam, then grew enough to take myself off of flying status on my return and protested the war. Do you hold me by my former role as Air Force Vietnam War pilot, or do you enable me by my evolved role as anti-war veteran and progressive?

My vote goes to Hillary Clinton, but I appreciate The Nation's endorsement of Obama and am blessed to be a reader.

I sure like him.
I mean, just getting a new person in that office will change things!
And the enthusiam is really different.

I went to our Caucuses here in Washington this weekend. It was packed!!!!!Stood for Obama and it felt really good. (Despite the spoilers which DON'T HAVE TO BE POINTED OUT TO ME OKAY). Heh.

I was struck at the caucus though, at how dumb people are. "huh?" "how do I do that?" "what's a signature?"
I yi yi. Trickle down ignorance. More like Niagara Falls ignorance. And helplessness! Maybe people are just really shut down?

The chairman kept trying to give a speech about all of his accomplishments when people were discussing issues! I had to go up and tell the guy that it wasn't cool and to shut up!
I'm glad I went though. I'm an alternate delegate. WHeeee!

mmm... I don´t understand the Obama-irish link. Someone can explain it?

I wonder the motion that would (or not) cause to have Obama as an USA president in Latinoamerica (at least in an image-level). We are already too much acostumbrados to Bush!!,

By spoilers I just meant those who have to point out that it's all meaningless.

I mean, I suppose it is in all reality, but old and wise as I am, I still have hope and still can be inspired and still believe "yes we can"....

O'Bama
O'Hara
O'Toole
O'Yeah

Today at work one young lady age 30 said she had never voted before, was now registered and will vote for O'Baama

My locker partner confided in me that she just can't get past his namr, too much like Osama, too much like an Arab

A Latino lady (Spanish really) said she was dismayed that anybody would not vote for Clinton

a black lady who has never voted said, "they gonna assassinate his ass anyhow!" I told her tht's just a lie to keep voters away

There is a lot of excitement in the air, I predict he will win every primary and caucus from here on out, but bless her, H C was the pace setter an now the race is turning.

They are saying he's a Raygunz Democrat, wll turn both houses to th Demz. Yet we still got party cronyism to deal with.

Thanks got going to th caucus Ms _Prynne i'd be one of those stupid people, liek gee, wally, duh, how do i cast my lot?

I think it will be interesting about the third world and a new "Merica

Thanks for the come back Hester
It means plenty to me.
But I can under stand despair
The Weimar Republic is a fascinating period in history for me. Is that when DaDa flourished?

I am stoked about this election Hes, in 2004 I knew my vote would not count for a tinker's dam. This time Texans going to have a say. I guess I am just into voting for the feeling, the civitas buzz.

I am not trying to be facetious, I am curious how you see it astrologically, I mean Obama's stars. Something Lincolnesque about him. Astrology is spooky stuff for me, but so is quantum mechanics.

Yeah Obama won ever caucus his people better at it then HillBilly's organization. , no doubt he is attracting the best and brightest, so did JFK.

one can only hope that barack ain't another JFK. God knows it'd be a shame if he attacked Cuba.
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

Obama is a Leo.
Hilary is a Scorpio
McCain and Huckabee are both Virgos.

Obama has his moon in Gemini and his rising sign is Scorpio.
Hilary has her moon in Pisces and her rising is Gemini.
McCain's moon is in Capricorn, and his rising is in Libra.
Huckabee has both moon and rising in Scorpio.

In case you're curious, Edwards is a Gemini, with a Gemini Moon and a Cancer rising.

Maybe Sooz or Cec could give us more info as to what these influences can mean. I'm still getting over the plague and have no energy to look them all up, but will do so when I feel better if Sooz or Cec are unavailable....

Honk Honk!

YES WE CAN

it could prove to be quite a race
Hillary is staging a bit of a comeback in Ohio, Pennsylvania
but
I am a gemini
don't know my moon from a hole in the dirt
still today, bouncing off different people
1 lady says, obama what does he offer besides hope?
good question i told her it means changing priorities
another lady, the one who i tell would look good in a wonder woman costume, says
this year is gonna be very strange
i tell her last year was strange
she walked away shaking her haid

I'm a gemini too as you know. My rising is Leo, and my moon is scorpio.
Obama and I share the same signs, but they are differently placed. Weird.

It's hard to say what will happen in this race.
I don't really understand why people seem to think that Obama is all "rhetoric". I mean it's kind of a diss if you've read anything about Obama's track record at all, which is not perfect but for the most part good. I mean hilary voted for NAFTA last year!!!!!. How could they even like her in ohio?
I don't get what drives people to their candidates. For me, it's if I can relate to them and if I think they can relate to me. Obama works for me.
Hilary seems more fear based. I'm really tired of that. I mean, if we're gonna get attacked and blown up, let's just get it over with...at least it would be tangible then.....
