"rural productors", t-drivers & bush´s friends

Post by Arcadia » March 25th, 2008, 1:08 pm

It seems here we all have to be italian for some days, grateful to the rural productors, friends of the truckdrivers, don´t ask what the goverment does with the superavit money and be amnesic when you decide to buy something.... all at the same time... curious times! (I´m joking, of course!)

Interesting contrasting-vision:

www.argentina.indymedia.org/news/2008/03/589245.php

(by the way, I voted against Berlusconi today, just for to be against!!)

In the last days I saw a lot of posters with Bush face in downtown and I though... oh, no... not again!!!!!!!!! Well, it´s not Bush but also some sinister (not in the sense of left) visitors. We are definetelly an heterogenic city: la Fundación Libertad is still alive and wants noise.

La presidenta Cristina Fernández sostuvo que la actitud de los productores al llevar adelante un paro del campo por tiempo indeterminado “parece un paso de comedia”, y advirtió: “No me voy a someter a ninguna extorsion”.

Recent president´s declarations. She talks now about "high class violence". Weird.

some minutes after I wrote that a sound like after winning a World Cup (plus cacerolas sound) invaded Córdoba street towards the Flag Memorial. Some people protested. About what?: it seems most of all in solidarity with the rural productors & against the government "in general" and "in particular" against the rise or retentions the government stablished for the rural productions. There are malestar, sure. You can feel it everywhere somehow. But I didn´t feel like joining that protest, I definitely don´t feel part at all of the people that were protesting yesterday even though I know that there are reasons to protest. It´s somehow a weird an un-just thing that most of us are sub-submed in the middle of a battle between the sectors with more power in the country: the rural productors (most-most of them in the last years far away with the higher accumulation), the government (with their ezquizofreny and its lies -and yeah, I know it must be a difficult thing to govern here-) and some sindicatos priviligiated by the government and in coordination with the them (in el Padrino´s way). It´s also painful and sinister to listen to some citizen´s declarations, only two days after Memory´s day. So, here we are (more or less: you can´t anticipate at all these things  ed)

some today´s articles:

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/ultim ... 03-26.html

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/elpai ... 03-26.html

www.criticadigital.com.ar/index.php?secc=nota&nid=1279

http://www.lacapital.com.ar/contenidos/ ... _0124.html

some facts and opinions that are not in the newspapers in this way and that I would like to be wrong about:

- people comparing this piquetes with the ones that the "negros" of the country did and do. "I´m for this one, it´s people that works".

- a president minister saying "they are grand liberals with the profits and grand socialists with the pérdidas" (talking about the rural productors)

- most of the oposition sucks even more (this opinion is mine)

well, enough... I have to work anyway! :? I´ll try to think & read more clearly and calmy later and don´t feel like an alien.

thanks for reading!!!!!!!!

The president Cristina Fernández maintained that the attitude of the producers upon carrying ahead an unemployment field the for an indeterminate time "seems a step of comedy", and notified: "I am not going to submit to any extorsion".

La presidenta Cristina Fernández sostuvo que la actitud de los productores al llevar adelante un paro del campo por tiempo indeterminado “parece un paso de comedia”, y advirtió: “No me voy a someter a ninguna extorsion”.

I don't understand what this has to do with the first url post about the meeting between right-wingers in Rosario. But anyhow, I like the anti-Bush posters

Here´s an article wich one I agree in its vision of the conflict:

El juego de los errores

http://www.criticadigital.com.ar/impres ... a&nid=1671

Exceptuating the small-productors from the new retentions to the exportations this difficult situation would be avoided (at least scrolled like it is now). A new cathegory was somehow installed by the government not doing so "rural productors": it´s sad to see the leaders of the Rural Society (golpistas, extreme-right wing) side by side now with the leaders of Federación Agraria...

Now the "comedy" continues.... there will be a Cristina´s & friends acto in BA...

www.criticadigital.com.ar/index.php?secc=nota&nid=1311

I also agree with MAS declarations about the conflict in indymedia even though I´m not troskist. They highlight also the fact that the government has been pro-corporations in most of their decisions in relation with production during K government and also now... and now...

bush friends!... the real poster in the streets was the in-famous great photo of Bush made by little other photos of the soldiers who died in Irak.. there was a rock-blues concert against the right wing meeting here in the flag memorial yesterday afternoon organized by an FM Radio (FM TL) with 20.000 young people. I heard in FM Universidad in Del Frade´s programa last night that it was televised by Telesur.

connection between the right wing meeting and the rural protest....? I don´t know, maybe sincronicity, maybe they also plan, I don´t want to be paranoic (as Charly said....!)

I saw Vargas Llosa talking on tv (he´s part of the right-wing meeting): legality and not-legality: of course Cuba & Venezuela are not-legality. And we are a good show.

today I heard the movilization for Cristina walking Córdoba Street near 6 pm and after her discourse, again some cacerolazos mixed with "que se vayan", "negros de ....... vayan a trabajar". It seems there is a possibility for dialogue. But it also seems the various people in the routes don´t want to leave them.

Curious (not at all, they have surprising tactics) the CCC is doing a piquete in Circunvalacion Avenue supporting the rural protesta and protesting against Cristina and her re-distribution policy. Interesting the way they also capitalized the protesta (it´s not ironic) creating somehow their own scenario (far away from downtown polarization and the rural productors themselves).

it´s sad but at some point I can´t avoid to feel it funny in a weird-iterative way. Trying to see the spiral and act in consecuence. Or viceversa?. A salad?

the president talked yesterday and Losteau (our french young economy ministro) announced the propuestas to the small rural productors.

"think yourselves as part of the country and not as owners" I heard the president saying that, it sounded razonable, I can swear I also heard a (only) somewhere but it´s not in the newspaper transcription, I´ll have to check that in other places (or maybe it was just my imagination)

See:

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/elpai ... 04-01.html

it seems the medium productors didn´t feel helped and the small are not convinced yet so...the lockout continues... the benefit to be an owner????

today there is a (new) movilization to support the president. She will also talk again near 4 pm...

lot of words.... I mean a LOT!!!!!! in the last days: from the government, from the various rural productors, from politics, from "people"... lot of patriotic words also, I mean a LOT!!!!!!!!

well! well... well?

yesterday´s president speech in somehow Evita´s way -I mean the timbre of her voice- (maybe because the masas effect):

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/elpai ... 04-01.html

some interesting articles:

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/elpai ... 04-02.html

Oportunidad para reflexionar

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/elpai ... 04-02.html

the rural lockout stopped today for 30-60 days (it seems it´s cosecha´s time, the productive chain can´t be forever on pause & we are near desabastecimiento in the cities). They will talk with the government in these lapse of time and then decide if they return to the lockout or not.

well, I returned to the news with my right foot in ice this time!!

La historia se repite (there is a Marx -Karl- quotation in this note, the tragedy-farse/comedy-change cycle... I felt that somehow too and -no full idea about philosophy- but it sounds somehow esquemático). Nevertheless the note is interesting.
