Obama's a biblethumper, a capitalist, and master of salesman-like rhetoric, regardless of a few liberal-lite ideas, even to the right of Hillary. 'Nuff said. His remarks on Ferraro were a type of Orwellian doublespeak.

And the usual DailyKOS like either/or fallacy--either you support Obama, or you're a rightist/nazi/klansman/square etc.---itself orwellian BS. BO's a churchie.

I think you're missing the point. Forego the psychoanalysis. Start with like Hume's fact/value distinction: Obama's campaign might be in the interest of some: it might not be in the interest of others.

Have you read any comments of Wright, BO's reverend? I suggest you do that.

if Obama runs a good campaign and continues to build a movement many Repub voters will defect. After all, many of them are working people, small business people and farmers, and the Repubs have never represented their interests, only their prejudices and fears. And this year they are fed up.

That is the point, but how do we distinguish between Obama and Wright?
The political tactic is to confuse them, as with Al-Qaida and Saddamn or Iran.

Well, Obama still has my vote for sure.....
Toty, you can't tell me at this point that Hillary or McCain't are even half as qualified to act as public servants, royalty they perceive themselves to be.
Obama is the obvious choice for anyone who has any brains, or who is in touch with real life. McCain't and Hillary offer nothing, because they have nothing to offer except the concept of hierarchy and "blessings", i.e. cake.
Equal blessings does not compute for them. It's a disconnect that has been wreaking havoc on society forever and i'd like to see it tamped down.
Obama will do that.
As a single ma, he is da BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say "Barack the house!!!!"
Of course, Toty, if you were running, you'd have my vote hands down baby.

Given BO vs J-Mc best to stick with Mr. Lucky So and So: Senor NOTA (None of the Above). Believe me, Obama's a churchie and quite content to appeal to corporations, not as left as most make him out to be.

If Hill gets nod, I might a vote for her. Or write-in: Hester Prynne, of the Big A par-tay 8)

I do need a job....heh. Hmmmm, does the president get paid more than the minimum wage? I have to have at least 15 an hour.....

You know, I haven't been watching much tv the past week, and I tell you, the whole election thing seems so unimportant to me, something I can hardly believe, how it has faded.....but I actually like that I'm seeing this.

I'll vote for whatever dem gets in. I prefer Obama yes, but hey, it's true, there really isn't much in it for me.

I don't know what the word "country" means. If it means government then hell, I want no part of that. Less is more, when it comes to any partnering with any government.

I abide by the rules of society, I'm a heartist, remember? I remember that now, now that i'm not watching the tv everyday.

I don't want to see anyone go hungry, nor do I want anyone to be homeless, integrityless. That's it. That's my political stance.

But Government doesn't give a rat's ass about those issues.
Government as we know it today is pure barnum and bailey. I worry that if we're not careful we will be forced to buy tickets.
Forced tickets are no fun at all.......
