On Golf and Nazi Appeasers
On Golf and Nazi Appeasers
With George W. Bush's regime, the sewage finally backed up and boiled over. The long-recurring hidden filth of a greed-based, murderous world approach came into view like never before, backed up through the drains, and coated DC in a foul ooze, so profoundly toxic next to the official 24/7 White House noble language pre-recorded media loop justifying it that the disconnect is, well, beyond surreal. This can't be happening. Or has it always been happening? Where have I been? Have I been shielded from this filth only by the greater political skills of previous high office death brokers of the American Empire and perhaps by my own inattention?
If Rome is burning, at least George W. Bush is one up on Nero; George gave up golf to support the troops, while Nero just kept fiddling. Yes, golf. George gave up golf to show "solidarity" with the families of those he sent repeatedly to be blown to pieces by roadside bombs for no justifiable reason. What a true patriot. The disconnect here is just staggering.
But he knows we still like to play World War 2 with plastic green soldiers in our Baby Boomer sandboxes, and try to jam our security through that old suicidal paradigm and run our economy on that old murderous, decrepit foreign war chassis--various re-taped versions of it.
So it's no surprise that a brazen businessman like George W. Bush, who heads a despicable band of war profiteers caught red-handed in a brazen, murderous scam of military aggression and international piracy gone wrong, would go on the offensive and invoke the overworked gods of WW2 to smoke 'em out (he is brazen, after all). As George noted, the Democrats are nothing but a bunch of appeasers. Hell, they probably would've appeased Hitler (FDR notwithstanding), whereas any aspiring fascist knows it makes more sense to do business with Hitler first, at least while the gettin's good.
Disconnectedly-surreal. Surreally-disconnected. Neither term by itself is enough. Appeasement? Did he really go there? First off, all sorts of butchering tyrants and mobs have been tolerated and supported by U.S. foreign policy (as long as they cut the right deals).
More to the point, Bush family history itself features more of the same. Prescott Bush, George's grandpa, profited nicely from his dealings with the Nazi regime, even well after Pearl Harbor, and had business ties with German industrialist Fritz Thyssen, a major financial contributor to the Nazi war machine buildup. Appeasement? How about aiding the enemy?
Bush can't be held responsible for the crimes of his grandfather, but he has war crimes of his own to answer for, and the pattern is becoming unmistakable. I think it's likely we've only seen the tip of that rotten iceberg known as the Bush political dynasty.
Appeasement? Bush's Saudi concerns can trample human rights until the cows come home, and the Saudis can even attack us here in the U.S., but the Bush family will of course never hold them to account. That would be bad for business.
And you want to know the worst part of it? He even lied about giving up golf.

Funny thing is, I've never really been a particularly political sort of person until these lying, thieving Bush & Co. thugs seized control of this once-respected country. Their abuses and collective naked disrespect, ignorance, and contempt for those they profess to "govern" is just staggering to me. It just seems to get worse and worse.
amercia is certainly challenged, the complexities are mind boggling.
i never thought i'd see the US loose global respect in my lifetime. how quickly the world now can change.
i had an experience with international business students that blew my mind. i think that the West is in a very different situation than it portrays to its citizenry. this is a personal opinion, but, in my current view, i think the "war" with the east has been lost, we lost. the battle is already over. we linger/dither in a hangover of past "superiority". i am speaking much more broadly than Iraq or a particular isolated regional conflict. the golden "age" of western/european dominance has passed.

Good point.
Although I've considered Bu$h & Co. to be quasi-fascists, as opposed to full-on, genuine Nazis. That would make the current Democrats, well, quasi-fascist appeasers, I guess.
But then these distinctions do tend to get blurred a bit. We got war crimes either way.
Don't ap-pease! Im-peach!

We need to stop this quibling among american patriots. We need to unite against our common enemy. Forget the Saudi's, Canada has got more oil.
Operation Canadian Freedom I say.
I don't know what you all are smoking but I wish I had some.
Bush is only doing god's work
We all want to get back to the promised land.
