What do you know about Christian Identity?

Interesting stuff I tell you.
The term "Christian Identity" has two distinct meanings:

Anglo-Israelism (a.k.a. British-Israelism): A theological belief that the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Scandinavian, Germanic and associated cultures are the racial descendents of the tribes of Israel. Thus, by extension, Americans and Canadians, are composed of the descendents of the ancient Israelites of the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament).

Racist, Christian-based faith groups: A number of small, extremely conservative Fundamentalist Christian denominations which have accepted Anglo-Israelism, and grafted it to racist, sexist, anti-communist and homophobic beliefs. They view the Jewish people as descendants of Satan. Followers tend to be involved in political movements opposing gun control, equal rights to gays and lesbians, and militia movements.

The second meaning has become dominant in the U.S. and Canada. We will use it for the remainder of this essay.

i thought of that stage phrase: break a leg.

it's difficult to completely ignore this election. it's historical. it's important. it's maddening. it's gotta end. it'll be over in 8 weeks to start with, if the election is clean. bush is gone january 21st.

can you keep it together until the end of the year, truck? i have faith you can. the election whichever which way it turns out will not affect your everyday life. learn to laugh (more).

Christian Identity. Now there's a cult if there ever was one. Amazing the country has to pass that stuff off as a 'religion.' It's no more a religion than Islamic fundamentalism.

Both are putting a philosophy ahead of anything else.

The googlebot story is a prime example of the damage done by people who rip and run with google.

I don't know if she is associated with the christian identity movement just something I picked up on google because I was checking out the problem of Jewish identity and Joe Lieberman.

Palin could be mixed up with the Christian Identity movement but somebody could have planted that question on Yahoo as a smear. So that a googlebot would pick it up. I have not found any follow up to it.

What is interesting to me is what dirty deals are going down in DC while we are all focused on the election. Things are being slipped through that will take years to undo. Also interesting is the stories that are getting slipped under the rug these last few months. The missing emails, the white house visitor logs, and stuff like that. George is a very busy man these days. So much to hide so much to slide by an unobservant press.

Sorry hester
about getting off on another tangent
