Sarah's 1960's beehive hairdo

Every time I see Sarah Palin's hair, I think of Marge Simpson.
Gawd I hated that teased-up look with the crown of hair in a beehive back in the '60s.
Every time I see Sarah Palin, I think of the early to mid '60s. She's like a throwback into a different era.
And now, I just saw 2 newscasters wearing the same 'do.
Lord help us if Sarah's "look" becomes the new style.
I cringed when I saw the elongated pointed shoes of the '60s come back into style. How can women DO that to their feet?
And why would they want to DO that to their hair?
This is a post about a DO.
And a don't.
I DON'T.
Seriously... it's not just her hair.... she seems to be a throwback to another era.

Alaska is slow to catch on to anything new, I reckon. Add to that, she was a beauty queen... maybe during the big hair time..? Her eyewear is not very common... but will probably be so given America's obsession to copy their idols.
I recently heard that Alaska is the highest in per capita in rapes and incest. An awful statistic for any state. The governors have obviously not been able to curtail that activity, nor have the police force. I wonder why.
The state also has a very large high school drop-out problem. Odd since they are mostly white up there. The drop-out problem has usually been attributed to race, i.e. Hispanic and black having the highest percentage of drop-outs.

I think her glasses go for about 345 dollars.
I think I will be seeing a lot of women wearing them.
I know several people who want to move to Alaska; I think it is the land of the Robert Service poem about people who don't fit in. The land of the rugged individualist. I have thought about moving there some day.
Alaska is in a time warp. And I think the whole country is in some sort of political black hole. I cannot really believe McCain and Palin are considered credible candidates. Hard to imagine any republican who could be. But the republicans have the best production values. They know how to put on a show. So many former television network execs on their staff

amazing.... i just turned the TV on and was looking at the news and Sarah Palin's Hair becoming a popular "new" style is actually a news story! I can't stop laughing. I should work for those people! heh.. too funny
astute observations, cecil and truckin ...
i've never been to alaska and have rarely heard any news about alaska until recently
i'm really getting sick of her
This will be a real shame if they win the election.
I'm finding myself wishing Barrack chose Hillary as a running mate. Still, there's got to be a way for him to turn this ridiculous Palin frenzy around and start focusing on the issues and the lies and get the attention back from the media.
It's really a shame that the presidential election boils down to advertising and gimmicks.
They should have made "Change" a registered trademark. I'm not kidding. I can't believe the McCain camp stole his slogan and now has ads that say Obama is the "Same old stuff".... come on!!!!!!
How can people believe that crap?
I'm rambling off topic. I'm sorry.
Back to the hair. I just got mine cut. I look like the kid on the dutch boy paint label.

In the next few weeks at some point Sarah Palin is going to have to be something more than a fashion statement. She will be required to answer questions and state her views instead of just reading a speech that someone else wrote.
Today she will be interviewed by Charlie Gibson. I don't know where you could find a journalist who is as big a pussycat as Charlie Gibson. I'm sure he will ask her all the nice questions. I'm waiting to hear how she holds up to the questions of Kieth Olberman or Campbell Brown or Chris Mathews.
But her handlers are breaking her in easy. Perhaps they will be able to postpone the realization that this woman is hopelessly unqualified to be our vice-president or possibly our president.

I have some simpathy towards Marge Simpson... she looks more like a weird mix of Isabelita & Margaret Thatcher...
