s-t: I´m also not at all sure about GM argumentations and logic. That empresa is only a misty land near my city where people ear at least three of four times what I earn, there are a lot of drug users among the employees and there are bathrooms that you can easily call public ones (I don´t have near people working there only friends of friends ).

It´s well known here that this year was a sell-autos-record. But the crisis rumors and facts are also here already, and of course, they (the ones with more capital and ganancias) are also the more previsores in these times... I heard the empresa talked about to put most of the employees in a "banco de horas" (bank of hours) until next year when a new sell-production-proyect will be in course... not idea about what "banco de horas" exactly means but it sounds like a banco de suplentes with a minimun wage.

the latest news I heard about it is that GM won´t fire personal until december 2009. I also heard the president will help the empresa (even)beyond the actual exception of taxes. Here the sindicatos are asking for triple indemnization in case of despidos (there was a double indemnization until some time ago). The most visible government´s opposition (aka proto-civic-coalition leader Elisa Carrio) thinks that a triple indemnization will cause more despidos.

well, the sindicato is still saying that the near 500 fires? are still a more nearer possibility

GM/sindicatos/government news... well, they renovaron the "conciliación obligatoria" and next year with credit help of the government it seems they´ll make low-cost cars at 30.000 pesos each one.
