Very interesting given the age of the pot...
This article came up with MSNBC.com today -

Nearly two pounds of still-green plant material found in a 2,700-year-old grave in the Gobi Desert has just been identified as the world's oldest marijuana stash, according to a paper in the latest issue of the Journal of Experimental Botany.

I wonder what they did smoke it out of? I doubt they ate it. It should be legalized...I hope our Pres Elect will do that. I mean, it would sure help the economy....

The ancient marijuana stash is now housed at Turpan Museum in China. In the future, Russo hopes to conduct further research at the Yanghai site, which has 2,000 other tombs.

I hate to bust a bubble for you guys, but as an experienced herb farmer, I can tell you that the chances of getting high on 2000 year old marijuana are about as likely as getting salvation from a 2000 year old rabbi

Within the first two weeks after harvest, 50% of the THC in pot oxidizes to CBD. This reduces the potency by about 50%. The oxidation decay then slows down but it continues. Fresh herb is always stronger than older herb.

But hey, I'd like to taste it anyway.
