Grave robbers

Post by Doreen Peri » July 10th, 2009, 6:57 pm

...On the news... grave robbers in the 21st century. ... pretty darn sad. I feel so sorry for the families whose loved ones are missing. This is disturbing. Some people will violate the most sacred and precious parts of life ... for money.

Where in the heck did the put the bodies anyway?

I missed that.

Was that on the local TV news?

Doesn't matter. I think I read something about it a couple of months ago. I forgot what the deal was. What the market was. I remember thinking maybe some day there will be a futures market for humans, they got one for pork bellies.

I thought about the woman in California a couple years ago who was buried in her Ferrari. . But first they encased her & the car in concrete. I guess to keep someone from digging her up to steal the car.

I been obsessing on diets and funerals lately. I am on a -want to look good in the box- diet.

There is no end to my vanity.

please pardon the ramble

I suspect "grave robbery" happens far more often than we wish to contemplate. Burial is an industry staffed by humans after all, humans on the underlevels of society as far as most are concerned. (That's not a value judgement. Just a statistical measurement.) And who's checking?

Peace,
Barry

this incident was for double-selling the graves, wasn't it?

cremation slows down the grave robbing business. grave robbers don't want anyone that made an ash out of themselves.

What about all our bones and grave offerings collecting dust in museums ? Looted over the years by archaeologists.

Let someone violate a Christian grave and it's a big boo-hoo event.

"Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones"...soon gonna raise up for de Lord!"
Hey, some of my woodland & neolithic ancestors are in museums, too. 8) :(
Sad, but cool...That is the way of the world. However, desecration of cemeteries
is a crime, especially in national parks, etc. :x Grave robbers should be thrown
UNDER the jailhouse. I don't include archeologists...It can't be helped.

Like I said, Plonk, they don't give two shits about NDN ancestors. If our graves can be violated, then so should these Anglos
