The best part of the proposed health plan is the bit about euthanasia for the elderly.

What the hell has the AARP done for us lately anyway?

The Spartans had the right idea about what to do with old people.
She is twice the man I am.

yeah, I agree, public option will be a mess...an addition to a mess.
When they nixed single payor it was all over.
One thing I don't understand is why, when they nixed single payor, was there no protest? Now, with public option, all hell is breaking loose.
I cannot figure it out. Bill Maher's thought that people are just plain stupid is about the only answer that makes any sense.
And, I don't think it's funny, nor do I think it's anything to be smug about.

Yeah I am mad as hell about it.
Hard for me to believe that people are stupid.
I just can't believe people are stupid.
Hell we are the crown of creation. We are made in god's image.
Does that mean God is stupid too?
logic is not my long suit

Cecil's sunday stream reminds me of those town hall meetings about health care, where the reform minded doctors and congrsesmen and others are shouted down by the flash mobs assembled by the people who brought us the the "tea party" demonstrations.

Yes how does it go
the center can not hold the worst are full of passionate opinions
the best lack conviction
something like that.

Just my opinion hester
pull the string in my back and I will play you another pre recorded opinion

Maybe off on a tangent but still germane I think
First Up For Sotomayor: A Case With Partisan Edge

"You always tremble a little bit when something like that happens," says Mary Wilson, president of the League of Women Voters, which has filed a friend of the court brief in favor of the FEC's position.

"From our perspective, we are trying to protect our political process from huge corporate expenditures in candidate elections," she says. "When something's not decided on the briefs, we wonder, what more do they need to hear on this?"
All the money the pharmco and insurace corporations are pouring into lobbyists. Still hoping it may still work out not too bad. But they are writing the bill no doubt.

Listening those CEO's those cold blooded bastards defending rescission as their right to the pursuit of profits.

Pregnant Pope has a hell of a good rant going about this subject.

Hard for me to get my head around the concept of a corporation as a person having first amendment rights.

They also have the right to the pursuit of happiness too.

I been thinking about incorporating myself so I have more power than a mere human being.

cutting and pasting
Palin’s Poison

Palin was given some cover Sunday by the former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a master of slipping innuendo into his arguments. Defending the “death panel” post on ABC’s “This Week,” Gingrich said, “you’re asking us to trust the government.” By such reasoning, American foreign policy is not worth its word, the currency is worthless, and the moon landing was indeed a fake.

As for Palin, she should follow her own advice to the media of a few weeks ago — lay off the kids and “quit makin’ things up.”

If in another life time I ever have a son I am going to name him Newt. It has such a slimy sound to it.

If I had a daughter I would name her Pearl. After Hawthorne's Novel

Yeah and they faked the got dam moon landing too. That's what really jacks my jaws.

And Newt's name is thrown around as a serious contender for 2012.

The only thing infinite is human stupidity
Einstein said
I guess it must be true if he said it.

actually Uncle Albert said
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
and I am not sure he really said that. I never heard him say it. I guess it is attributed to him.

The screamers on talk radio and Fox News would have you believe that the plan is to turn America into the Soviet Union. But the truth is that the plans on the table would, roughly speaking, turn America into Switzerland — which may be occupied by lederhosen-wearing holey-cheese eaters, but wasn’t a socialist hellhole the last time I looked.

Violence is apple pie

A good man for an impossible job.
The sun is rising in the east
setting on the west.
All we got going for us is the most lethal military force in the world
What good is that doing us.
