India-Pakistan Border NIGHTLY Closing Ceremony.

Both countries have nukes, and both countries have come close to war a number of times. If they do, it'll be a different ballgame for the ENTIRE region/world.

The Wagah border is the only road linking India and Pakistan and every night, the border is closed with a most unusual ceremony.

Only 156 seconds long, it is one of the strangest things ever seen.
Be sure to turn on your sound.

A comic opera, of sorts.

This dance has been going on for decades. But, it's the first time I noticed that viewing stands were provides for the show. I wonder where the Indians and Paki guards meet in order to get their glares & steps so well syncronized?

An old friend passed that vid on to me. Got a kick out of the 'dance' and the cheering crowds who apparently show up daily on both sides of the border acting as cheerleaders. I don't know anything of it's history but however long they've been at it, it shows in the performance, eh?
