Museo de la Memoria

last friday in the middle of an unusual wind storm that lasted more than an hour, it was inaugurado, this time, in an old detención center. I´ll visit it later, I prefered to be in the street and listen to the orators and the musicians... After that I was in a end of the year reunion with some friends and the new location and form of the museum was one of the conversation topics... "is it necessary?, "there are other priorities in the city: hungry people, broken streets, tree branches that are needed to be cut..." ,"it´s only politics: it´s a sort of worlwide fashion", "the purpose it´s also touristic", "memory, culture and education is also a city and country need", "why a museum?"...
I pesonally liked what the Museum director said (an old argentine literature professor of some of us) in the re-opening and was moved by the presencia of the Madres of Plaza de Mayo of our city. And in that precise corner, in these times, I prefer an open walls memory museum than the Rock & Fellers bar...
some notes about it:

the web site of the museo is still in construction, I´ll link it when it´s ready.
