Hmm.. I'm sorry. I don't get it.

Is it implying that the guy with the gun is the American? Or?

not so obvious... in fact a lot of people around the world are afraid of the bangs! in a visceral way... maybe it´s just humor condensation...! :roll:

It annoys me a little every time I see a cartoon I don't get. I try to remember them so I can ask a friend but I usually forget them.

Yes Arcadia nailed it. Americans are the runners who drop to the ground in fear at the sound of the starter's gun. Seems like every week another shooting rampage here. I got the eyewitness news blues again.
