Fossil fuel paradigm

Post by Arcadia » October 27th, 2013, 11:25 am

There is a revuelo here with the lack of petróleo & gas to autoabastecimiento and the need to buy them elsewhere when the numbers of the economy are not too good, the nineties´s saqueo & corruption legacy -that included the privatization of YPF with adverse consecuencies to our country abastecimiento-, the blurry politics of the Kirchners regarding natural resources (they talked as revolucionaries and act the oppositte), the not totally clear contract between Chevron & YPF & the doubts concerning a "relatively new" extraction technique called fracking ...

a recently made (& opportune) Solana´s film about it:

a link to an interesting Counterpunch´s article where I picked the title for this thread :

I mailed the autor giving him a link to Solanas´s film & also to my wonderings about the fracking thing and the real need of having Chevron doing bussiness here and he mailed me these links written by him that looks worth reading. I told him that I will share them here. Enjoy the reading! :)

Time to tap into "hot springs" for geothermals, break out some solar energy & windmills. :) 8)
