'War on evil', Iraq fallout, links

Post by mnaz » September 13th, 2004, 1:37 am

Here's a couple of articles I found interesting on
foreignpolicy.com:

The Ideas that Died in Iraq:

and

World's Most Dangerous Ideas-- 'War on Evil'

http://www.foreignpolicy.com/story/files/story2662.php

There are a lot of other good articles there as well, looking at
US foreign policy from a lot of different angles.

Hegemony, Fragmentation and bin Laden's Goals

Dear LR:

This is a nice background piece by Juan Cole that argues for bin Laden's goals being met as our "war on terror" flies into confused bits.

thanks, Z

great article. It all depends on how deep you want to go back into history, where you decide to start counting, so to speak, as to where the root of this problem is.
