Yes there is much work to be done. Maybe in 2006 there will be enough peacemakers to stand in front of polling places. Anti anti abortion rallies could use some too. And mental health clinics, yes we could use some there. Did you ever read billectric's piece about the clown in from of the mental health clinic?

a good link jimbo, thank you

We are watched over by angels of loving grace.

I will check into it. If nothing else maybe there is some grunt work I could do, or kick in some dough. I got until 08/03/05 to finish my retraining i really do need to back out of here. I dread the training, the job is great but the training so boring. If you don't hear from me for a while it is either because I will be training or else an irate band of Engish Majors has lynched me. I walked yesterday morning for the first time in months. Sitting in the cab of that Peterbilt was like zen meditation for me. I went two years no cigarettes and six months at a time no tea. I can't sit still, I got to be moving. I have tried that sitting in a chair so many times. never get anywhere. But when I am walking it gets groovy. Listening to my breathing pacing myself, and some times I totaly get out of mind. But lately I have had some good results when working, I wear a head set, I can hear my breath pretty good. That Quaker still small voice is what I get. I like their take on the bible, "it is devinely inspired" everybody wants to cut and paste the bible for their own uses.

it takes practice, sitting still, or slow walking, not rapturous walking, a slower pace, observing the breath and one's sensations.

Inspired by all this talk of yoga lately, I pulled out my old copy of B.K.S. Iyengar's Light on Yoga and tried to remember a few things. My inspiration shall not be the spandex-clad practitioners of the moment, but the meditating cat with its mouse disciples (7th c.), from nearby Mahabalipuram:
