US PLANS TO NUKE IRAN:

Dear friends:

Try on some of these articles and comments. The Justin Raimondo piece from Antiwar.com is particularly well written and researched.

Cheney ( whom most designate as the real President, Bush being only the Designated Driver) has "tasked the Pentagon" to develop a war plan against Iran involving those tactical nukes we've ( the US) been dying ( pun intended) to use for years.

Try this link and the links within it:

Shit. I knew I shouldn't have read your link Zlatko, just like I knew I had to.

I don't know what to think.
I have to digest this.

Right now, i'm just horrified.
Stomach hurts......

Dear Hester:

Let me recommend you see the film ( rented from your local video store) "Wag the Dog" again, or for the first time, if you're lucky enough to be in that condition.

I saw it this last weekend, ( again) and it is the wickedest, funniest, most accurate portrayal of the government and how it produces the tv show everyone thinks is reality since "Doctor Strangelove."

I have not checked the links yet or the people posting the articles. This may sound weird but I hope it is not a lot of bullshit in there. This guy Rokke wrote about the depleted uranium weapons being used in Iraq. He was discredited for a few mistatements of fact, what he said was pretty much true. When good people stretch the truth in a good cause, the stooges of death exploit them to discredit the whole story.

The site has some gruesome pictures and some kick ass music. Sometimes I have to close my eyes to listen to it.

I did get one bitter laugh out of it.
"sniff out" Iranian revolution from "the tell-tale odors coming from the undergarments of its doomed leaders."
I been ranting and raving about Bush’s underwear.

This may sound weird, but I hope it IS a lot of bullshit.

I thought people learned in the 60's that they cannot, under any circumstances, use nuclear weapons.

I grew up scared as shit about all this stuff.

I don't believe this. (I can't afford to).

Yes you are right Doreen, just like I hope that Jesus W Bush is right and I am wrong. I really do. Are you talking about the Bay Of Pigs? Hester's post about history and what we learn from it. I think that was her point. We don't learn.
I don't believe this. (I can't afford to).
I only give it credence because Zlatko posted it. I figure he must have checked it out. Just like I plan to. Do you believe the bit about Depleted Uranium weapons. No it is just more anti-Bush lies.

I live in a cloud of false beliefs.
The True Believer. Eric Hoffer.
The government is in the hands of True Believers.

The best hoax about war i ever heard of was The Report From Iron Mountain.

Zlatko, I shoud shut up until I check the links. If it is a hoax it is a dam good job. Feith, Wolfowitz, Perl, as an american Jew I am ashamed. But I remember reading some stuff on a website that was really tearing into Bush and I was saying yeah yeah right on tell it like it is.. But then the last line was, "lets put the final nail into Anne Franks coffin. The guy was a holocaust denier.

USA Today, New York Times, ABC news, so far nothing about it.

Yeah Doreen I am by what I said about my hope it is not bullshit, Yes of course I don't want it to be true. I would be happy if Bush was right and I am wrong, that he has made us safer, and is fighting the good fight.I just get tired of reading stuff that people make up for good causes. Going to keep checking, so far I have only found one link to a Russian News Paper if they are to believed. Just because I can't find anything about it in the main stream press don't mean it ain't true. Just a paranoid Jew.

No-Nonsense Ohio Populist Vows to Clear Name; Calls on Congress to Take Back America

Yes, Jim Traficant was framed by the FBI and the Justice Department and Traficant has the evidence to prove it. Yet the House of Representatives would rather not hear about it. That’s why they voted to expel Traficant on July 24.

Yeah it is all a crock of shit, one of the stories I found on one of the websites was in support of Trafficant.

Thanks Zlatko, I had it coming. No complaints, I am sure if I keep digging I will find some stories about the Holocaust never happened

I should have none it when I saw Larouce's name mentioned.

I agree, Still:

No doubt there is some stealth anti-semitism buried in some of this commentary.

I posted this link, with the connection to Justin Raimondo's essay, which is itself well-sourced, because the sort of war-fighting plan described here is similar to those written by Daniel Ellsberg and Herman Kahn when they worked for the Rand Corporation.

http://www.newyorker.com/printables/cri ... crbo_books

Ellsberg's and Herman Kahn's plans ( in part, or ostensibly-- to prevent nuclear war, or win it, or survive it . . .) were never actually used, of course.

But they were contingency plans, the sort being "tasked" by Cheney.

Again, my purpose is not to play the alarmist, but simply to inform and start a discussion.

Kahn, Kubrick and "Strangelove" are all connected in a circuitous, oblique way.

"Wag the Dog", while partly "science-fiction", contains many scenes, devices, strategies and references to the Iraq War and its run-up. The odd thing is that "W the D" was made in 1997, pre-9/11 and pre- Iraq War II.

Sorry, Still:

I edited my message for typos. You probably should read it again.

I meant only to connect some interesting ( and unfortunately, pretty routine) RAND Corporation methods of operation. Raimondo's article seems quite credible to me. Nuclear War-Fighting plans during the cold war near the Berlin East-West border were common knowledge.

Wag The Dog, when clinton ordered the attack on Bin Laden's training camp, everbody was saying it just wag the dog, a diversion to take attention from him. I have seen the movie a couple of times, I still remember seeing a picture of Jesus W Bush wearing a Jewish beanie (yarmulke?) gave me he heebie jeebies, Let's all go see Raiders of the lost arc again.

Moses complained he lacked eloquence and had a "slow tongue" to the Lord. (EXODUS 4:10)

Yet the Lord "tasked" him, and Moses became a mighty prophet.

Ellsberg was able to transfer ( eloquently) some of his precious cargo ( gleaned from his RAND experiences) to the public ear.

"Raiders" is a fun fantasy. Too bad the world doesn't consist of wonderful icons whose possession endows their owner with eloquence or righteousness.

I don't think tactical nukes fall into either of those categories.
