Since I am married to a librarian, I am well-informed about the ALA ( American Library Association) and its, as well as every good librarian in this country's, fight against the anti-constitutional machinations of BUSHCO in our nation's libraries.

And now, finally, with the help of the ACLU, a library has sued the federal government on this issue.

Librarians have bravely refused to turn over patron records before now. A recent poll showed that 48 of the 50 states are refusing to comply with the Patriot Act.

I can’t find the website again but it was called, “Why You Should Bow Down and Worship a Librarian." I am reminded of the Loyalty Oaths required by teachers back during the McCarthy witch hunts. How many courageous teachers refused and were fired. I like the bit in Catch 22 where the pilots had to sign a loyalty oath in order to be issued parachutes. It is difficult for me not to feel overwhelmed by the all the attacks on our freedom by that axis of evil that runs through Washington DC these days. Thanks for the information.
