Astronaut doesn’t have a ticket to come home.

The problem is that the U.S. doesn't have a seat on the Soyuz that will be returning with Mr. Tokarev because of politics and international negotiations. The mission to take Col. McArthur to the International Space Station and return Mr. Phillips fulfills the Russian's obligation to transport U.S. astronauts.

The good news for Col. McArthur and NASA is that Congress may budge. On Sept. 15, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Richard G. Lugar, Indiana Republican, introduced a bill to provide temporary relief from the Iran restrictions. If the House agrees, NASA will be able to purchase additional space on the Soyuzes.

So we send a man into space and have no arrangements to get him back, because we are boycoting Iran and Russia.

Man I bet that rich American goes up there on the Russian space ship thathe bought a ticket to ride on, and he visits the space station and says howdy to the Iranians from outer space and the Russians are happy and everybody drinks vodka and plays the bailailaikaha, and after the party he leaves, and the American is still trucking up there in outer space, because the presidunce once again imposed pseudo-restrictions on Iran somehow, cause they trade with the Russians and they have civilian nuclear power, as it were, the Persians at home.
