in case you havent heard, george bush is now pushing for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/06/05/ ... index.html
here is something everyone's favorite asshole doctor has to say:
"Marriage between one man and one woman does a better job protecting children better than any other institution humankind has devised," said Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tennessee. "As such, marriage as an institution should be protected, not redefined."
oh REALLY?! centuries of war, poverty and injustice were all caused by a bunch of idiots running around like maniacs after being brought up in "traditional" marriages. i'm not saying that heterosexual unions are bad, but we cant possibly argue that we've got the world's problems solved, can we, really, mr bill, you degenerate fuck?
i guess the republicans have to rally their base of bigotry and ignorance in preparation for this upcoming election. and i guess this is a good way to do it.
george bush is such a fag.
george bush hates gay people
george bush hates gay people
and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.

No, he doesn't hate gay people.
He just needs an issue that he can wrap his mind around. The national debt and the war in Iraq are far too deep and complicated for him to address, so he's concentrating on something simple that he thinks will inspire a major portion of the right.
A REAL President would have far more important things to do with his time ....
.... than pick on a minority whose marital permissions or prohibitions are not going to affect anyone in any significant way
He should pick on something his own size --- something Presidential.
I'm so sick of this witch-hunt. It's just a diversion.
Ugh.

Bush Elected President
Republican Captures Over 50,000 Gay Votes in Decisive State of Florida
November 27, 2000
(WASHINGTON, DC) Governor George W. Bush of Texas was certified the 43rd President of the United States by Florida officials yesterday in one of the closest elections in U.S. history, and gay voters helped elect him by clear margins.
"We believe the American people elected the better man to lead our nation," said Rich Tafel, executive director of Log Cabin Republicans. "We applaud President-elect Bush for becoming the first Republican President to actively reach out to gay and lesbian Americans and to seek their votes, and we look forward to working with his administration."

What ever happened to the Log Cabin Republicans? What ever happened to the big tent of compassionate conservatism?
Maybe my favorite quote by AG
"America I am putting my queer shoulder to the wheel."
This darkness got to pass
