Whatcha think?

Post by mtmynd » June 18th, 2006, 10:50 pm

Carl Rove gets off the hook.

Then he slams the democrats regarding the war.

Next news comes out that Korea has a nuclear weapon ready for test.

Then I read about a NTC subway plot was foiled.

Dammit! Is this a fear tactic or is there any real truth to all this?

I keep thinking of the upcoming House/Senate elections in November.

It all sounds sooo in favor of Bush and his tactics on one hand...

but on the other.... what if it's all freaking true?

Who's going to win this game of fear?

It could be true. I almost wish it was. I would like to believe that we are protecting the home front. But I don't believe it. They are way past trying to govern the country. I think they are a bunch of scared monkeys.

Who's going to win this game of fear?
Condoleeza Rice.

Madame President.

In times of crisis I like to read a good book.

"My Pet Goat is a masterpiece of strategic thought., July 17, 2004
Reviewer: oparts (New York, NY United States)
Destined to take their place alongside von Clausewitz and Sun Tzu, Engelmann and Bruner have captured the very essence of strategic thought in a mere 32 large-print pages. In this masterwork, when Smirky the Goat is stung on the nose by Osama the Wasp, he jumps over the fence and butts the living daylights of out Saddam the Swine. Advanced students will see the seeds of the Bush Doctrine in this landmark book"

Nobody wins the game of fear, originated on lies, and now fucked up totally on mistrust......(at least there's that going for us)

The whole attack on Iraq was an ego hornswaggle, Bushco thought they could go in and win in a few minutes, with a few troops.
They were wrong. Dead wrong. And they keep killing, trying to make it right.......rah rah rah "mountain thrust"......
(I wouldn't mind a mountain thrust right now. Why are these operative names so damn ridiculous? )

Meanwhile, 40 oil rigs have been built under our guardship there, and are up and running.

Sure no one has water yet, and the damage is far from being reconstructed, and the lives lost will never be recognized, but hey, we got those oil fields running, and after all, this is an oil corporation war, and we are but an oil corporation ruled lot, like it or not. Slaves to it, idiots to it, dying for it, we are flies caught in the oil spider web, to be eaten raw and savagely in the name of Jesus. Jesus loved oil more than anything or anyone, so they seem to think, although how they got that out the bible I've no clue.....

I do know that one can twist any story to one's own benefit if one has enough money, a majority of stupids, and enough bribes going on.

Have you seen 911 revisited? Check it out online. I've heard that if you download it online they'll send you the free cd.
It will definately change your outlook entirely on this mess, at least it did mine. It's not just a bunch of hype. It's facts. Facts that are well known, and yet still, this farce continues on....
Scared the fucking crap right outta me.
We are in deep deep doodoo.

Every night, I pray for a hero to arrive and start doing what needs to be done, so the many of us who want to follow that lead will have an outlet, a hope, to go after.
Amen

I been thinking about the power of cliche to confound the hip

I been thinking about the male ego's appetite for power

Follow your bliss they say.

Sometimes I wonder if that is all little AH was doing following his bliss.

Speaking of fear, it always reminds me of the soccer mom vote. Bush such a manly looking kind of guy.

Man those 9/11 conspiracy theories make me noivus. Probably a lot of truth in it, and a lot of it points to those Christ killing Jews. Me Michael been all through that. A lot of holocaust denial bullshit going on in a lot of those sites if you drill down past the opening page. But sounds like you found the straight poop.

Rove gets off the hook.... (saw that one coming).

Then he slams the Democrats.... (Well, he is Rove, after all).

Korea.... (Who cares. Much less opportunity for profiteering, Halliburton-style, compared to Iraq).

NTC subway plot foiled.... I heard al Qaeda called it off.

It all sounds in favor of Bush and his tactics.... It is.

Who wins the fear game? Well, nobody, really.

Don't think about it. It might hurt your head. We read only good books. We think only pure thoughts. Only saints have bliss, only artists, painters and poets. I am sure Hitler was very unhappy with his millions of adoring followers. I love cliches, "follow your bliss" is one my favorites. Yes I believe in the power of cliche to confound the hip.

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise;
I never have read the New Testament, but now and then bits and pieces jump out at me. I am a heretic. I expect to burn anyday now.

Correct me if I am wrong about Hitler. We do not wish to see him as a human being. We do not wish to recognize the worst in our selves. But I am one sicko weird twisted evil person. So maybe I am the only one here who has seen the murder in my heart. All LSD did for me was to leave me naked.

Boy I wish I had your restraint sirreen. Only two posts in two years. You must be the strong silent type.

Re: the "bliss" thing. Don't think of it as a cliche.... think of it as rejuvenation, (but in a less genocidal sort of way, compared to Hitler). To equate Hitler's (conscious) genocide with "bliss" might even be worse than warping Nietzsche's ruminations about "master and slave morality", and the like, which Hitler cribbed and dissected to justify the whole goddamned abomination in the first place, which, come to think of it, might not be all that far removed from late-night homophobes pulling up to the microphone and ordering verse 18:22 at the Leviticus midnight take-out window.

Clearly, we still have some work to do.

Definitions of bliss on the Web:
a state of extreme happiness:
wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
Maybe follow your bliss is not a cliché to you, but for me that expression does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling anymore.
Just do what makes you happy.

Yeah Hitler was like this alien from outer space. You know those monsters can have bliss too.

Not sure what Cecil's question has to do with homosexuality.
Except it is frightening to many people I suppose. Those who fear it most probably have homosexual thoughts they must repress. It takes courage to be who you are.

Hitler followed his bliss to art school. Too bad he was not accepted. I don't find it so strange that power can be bliss for a human being. Power was his second stab at happiness.

SO are you saying that bliss is only for good things, for beautiful things, for what makes the world a better place? One cannot follow his bliss to destruction?

In the long run what difference does it make who wins in November? In the cosmic scheme of things is it not all good? Doesn't it all have to come out right? What happened to ying and yang? Which side of that is the democrats and which the republicans?

I am just an ex trucker driver what the fuck do I know? Just ignore me. I am blissed out.
(saw that one coming).
I don't want to talk about what I see coming. These are the good old days.

Yeah, well....
I still say.... don't put "following your bliss" on the same footing as outright psychosis, especially of an enforced religious nature. Jesus wanted to change the world too, but stopped well short of mass-murder as a means to that end. (Sorry to keep bringin' up the J-man. Contrary to popular opinion, he wasn't perfect either-- he lost his temper with the money changers, and some of his words have an almost "smug" connotation to them (as recorded, at least))....

Jesus wanted to change the world too
I'm not so sure Jesus wanted to change the world. I think he pretty much just wanted to be himself. The whole "change the world" thing is just hindsight, isn't it? I think speaking his truth, being "about [his] Father's work" was probably just Jesus being himself, but, you know, I wasn't there, so I don't really know for sure. It's all sheer speculation.

Maybe you're right sirreen, Jesus sometimes was too criptic to try to change to world... (but sometimes people that want to change the world are very criptic too). Maybe the let's/change/the/world typo was Barrabas... but I don't know I wasn't there tampoco.
