I got up early this morning, fixed my coffee, rolled a couple of Buglers and sat on the deck. A normal morning activity. I noticed the full moon about to go behind Ranger Peak, a high enough peak which is part of the Franklin Mountains. The world I was witnessing seemed peaceful and tranquil.

Then I made the mistake of turning on the news. Heathrow Airport. Twenty-one people arrested so far. Plans to blow up multiple planes between London and the U.S..

Cock sucking terrorist mother fuckers! Today the full moon must be screaming. I hear voices saying "Enough of this terrorist bullshit!" I find myself agreeing.

How many millions of people across the planet are sick and tired of these Islamic fundamentalists playing their sick, distorted, repressive game of 'Kill the Infidels'? How many millions of people do I hear saying under their breaths "Nuke the entire Middle East!"

I can't disagree with them today. There doesn't seem to be any end in their idiotic behavior. They don't mind dying so why not help them along..? The world is not going to get any rest with these ignorant sons of bitches pulling off their terror acts upon we 'infidels'.

Great Britain, France, Germany, Israel are armed with nuclear weapons... and, of course, the U.S. has enough invested in nuclear weapons that lie idle in the bellies of submarines, in warheads thruout the country.

Tell these sponsoring countries, like Iran and Syria, warn Saudia Arabia and the rest of the Mid-East, that if they don't stand up and tell these mother fuckers to quit playing their deadly games with the world... if one more attempt is uncovered to bring harm to the rest of the world... just <i>one more time</i>, the U.S. and hopefully the other countries mentioned, are going to blow that civilization off the known map! I've fucking had it with this bullshit.

It's fucked over our country, it's fucked over Europe, it's fucked over Russia, it's fucked over India, Pakistan, the Philipines... there doesn't seem to be any stopping these fools other than leveling them and those that refuse to yell "Stop!" to them.

O, and Israel... move the fuck out of the area! Either that or live as prisoners within your own country. If you want to build walls all around your country to be safe from the forces outside of it, if you want to live like self-imposed prisoners of your own making, go right ahead. But please don't ask for financial assistance from anyone.

What the hell do we have such a deadly arsenal for? We don't use it for any leverage at all. But if we wave the wand af annihilation in their faces maybe, just maybe, they'll finally think twice.

There wouldn't have been any Haditha if we weren't there in the first place. Dubya and Co keeps talking of how bad 'cut & run' is but they have not used the nuclear superiority that this country has. Sounds to me they are the ones that are cowardly. This ongoing war with the terrorist factions will never end if someone does not step up to the plate with a plan that threatens the entire Mid-East into realizing that there are more poeple on the earth than there are fundamentalists.

If we, the so-called free world, are terrified of losing our energy supply (oil), we will always be in a submissive position to the Kingdom of Oil in the Middle East. Personally I'd rather live without the world's pollutant (oil) than kiss the asses of any fundamentalists, regardless of religion, that threatens my freedom to exist.

To threaten nuclear annihilation you have to be prepared to actually push the button. And you can't just nuke an entire region, for whatever reason. Is there any real argument about this? It is an unnecessarily extreme and immoral act.

we cant pretend that annihilating the entire middle east (as i've admittedly wanted to do even recently) would work. another bunch of douchebags would pop up somewhere. we cant just kill everyone. the other reason we cant do that is because thats exactly what theyre trying to do to us. i'd rather burn in a terrorist attack than be responsible for killing millions of innocent people in the hopes of thwarting some vague plan for a terrorist attack.

what we need to do is stop bombing people. stop giving weapons to other countries who use those weapons to attack, not self defense. we need to fucking get rid of bushco and all the douchebags in this nation's government who feel that pre-emptive strikes on 3rd-world nations are in any way a good idea. we need to realize that hezbollah (and some other terrorist-related organizations) are real and need to be negotiated with, recognized as a social system in the global scheme of things. we need to stop looking at ourselves as cowboys.

but all that is wasted typing. this is world war III, i do believe. i'm fucking scared. the people, civilians, are always the worst casualities of these wars, and this one will be no different. it sickens me that our nation is one of the primary causes of these conflicts, that the people of this nation dont realize the damage theyve done by electing this corporation into office. we are the enemy of the people of the middle east, simply because we allowed our government to act this way.

the hopeless thing to do is bomb the fucking shit out of them. it might even save us a few years of peace, but thats about it, and the immorality of it isnt worth it.

the psychopathic rhetoric of mass destruction is common to the fundamentalist terrorists of Islam and those of the West. in fact, the Islamic terror is simply blowback of the geopolitical startegic manipulation and violence furthered by the West through the US Army, the CIA, the Soviets, the British empire, etc.

you cannot "threaten" a region into submission. all that does is to increase the relative power of the militant factions within that region. that's the surest way to escalate present and future conflict. which is precisely what the neocons want, cause its good for their business of warfare.

Oil doesn't just "do" energy supply.
It's also used to make fuel.
Anything made out of plastic (tv sets, boxes, about 1/2 of occidental objects in everyday life)
Clothes.
Medicines.
Computers.
Planes, boats, cars and spaceships.

Occidentals are so attached to their material comfort that if their goverments decide to stop using oil, there will be a revolution.

To me, the UK airport incident, like all other incidents of that kind, is logical.
In a way, I even understand them.
The reason is that we have been opressing them for a long time now.
Either passively as a consumer, or actively as a political agent.
Besides, how could they know what the average American thinks, if their vision of the average American is the shellshocked US marine who killed off half their family for "humanitarian" purposes?
After a while there were more of them hating us than of us hating them.
We are very inferior numerically, and their technology is progressing.

I agree that the whole idea of nuking the Mid-East is immoral, mnaz. I am not in charge of the button, nor will anyone listen to me on that subject. But I am expressing the feelings that I have today. Maybe I'll feel better after emptying myself of this pain.

Why do these Islamic Nazis allow their death squads to continue wreaking havoc on the world? It is not just the U.S. involved here. Remember Spain... the recent train attack in India, or the attacks in Bali killing many Aussies... many examples. And why is Arab world at large remaining so silent about the Shia extremists. Are they just as concerned about their retaliation as well?

Curious as to why these brainwashed morons don't terrorize South America or China. Why in the hell don't they terrorize North Korea?? That would bring them a little credibility would it not?

There is no doubt these radicals are out there... worldwide and eager to kill the non-believers. The big question (for me, anyway), is how long will others put up with the bullshit before anger overtakes rationality? During this full moon anger is speaking out.

I also heard the news before going to work today. And of course that blowing planes is not a good thing... but the news in this case didn't make me mad. Maybe an invasion to Cuba or Venezuela would really make me mad.

you know, fuck. i cant help but recall that i have felt really strongly the past few days that something bad was going to happen. now, this, and i cant help but put this into the context of the approaching 9/11 anniversary and the midterm elections. it is obviously not above the bush administration or its lapdogs in the UK to manipulate this intel, or to INVENT the intel in the first place in order to swing the thing back to national defense, ie the republican agenda.

that fact that one can even entertain fantasies about nuking people is why the American people, and the best representatives they can find, are not to be trusted with the nuclear weapons. yesterday or the day before was the anniversary of our bombing of Nagasaki, which together with Hiroshime killed over 200,000 civilians. that is genocide.

after the fall of the Nazis, the defeat of Nazi Germany being the one truly noble thing that the U.S. has ever done on the world stage, in this case in cooperation with the Russians and British, the U.S. has ever since been a force for evil in international affairs. sad to say, but true.

why doesn't Al Queda attack N. Korea, asks Mtmynd? simple. North Korea is not involved in imperial adventures afecting the Arab and Muslim worlds. Why hasn't it attack China? just wait a few years, it probably will.

back to the question of American nukes. the nuclear option is an infantile response, like a child who overturns a gameboard (e.g. checkers) when he fears that he will lose the game.

but let's be rational and think about it. of course, the true casualties of any such attack will as always be civilians, a ghastly immoral act. as firsty's Platonic argument goes, its better to risk being killed than to commit unjust murders.

proportionality and some perspective is key, too. sure, the Islamic fundamentalist jihadis are bad guys. but they have not killed even a small fraction of the numbers killed by, say, cigarettes and car accidents. we have probably all known someone harmed by one of these problems. is the solution to nuke the farms, factories and regions that produce tobacco or automobiles? that is of course absurd, and yet it is makes as much sense as the idea of nuking the Middle East. (of course, after we nuked Japan, they started producing better cars.)

that people in the U.S. can even discuss in a half serious manner the "option" of using nuclear weapons shows, not merely that the Americans are the stupidest people on the planet which has to have been suspected at least ever sinjce Dubya was elected, but that they are the most dangerous force on the planet. We need to disarm and ban nuclear weapons, now. Iran and Korea are not the main problem. We are the problem.

and btw, What is the root cause of Islamic fundamentalism? the U.S., which, after all created AL Queda through the CIA in Afganistan. Al Queda is a CIA branch gone amok. Why do they hate us, asks the naive American. Why do they hate us? They hate us because we want them to. They hate us because it serves the interests of the military-industrial complex. War is all about profit, including the war on terror.

As I stated in one of the replies, this rant was due to anger of what happened today. As I also state I would never 'push the button'. But I did nuke the bastards outta my mind... even for a day from the relief of the current insanity that is going on in the Mid East.

As far as the U.S. military... I agree. We cannot go a decade with some level of war against someone. If our policies were the only factor in Islamist terrorism, I would agree on other avenues to attempt to solve the problem... but that ain't the case. Great Britain, Spain, France, Russia, India, Philipines... who else has been hit by their distorted ideology? (I think there was a donut shop in Toronto that was hit...) With the U.S. military doctrine mixing with the Christian fundamentalist doctrine, and the Islamic extremist doctrines all at play, there is real concern for an Armageddon... with out the approval of any innocent, peace loving, family oriented peoples. As you say, the real victims of any war is the peoples I mention... as war has always been.

May a peaceful resolution be found. I leave the election in your hands. What do you suggest for a workable solution?
