Smart Bombs / Stupid Soldiers

dead children are collateral damage.
dropping leaflets on a town
telling its residents to flee or die,
then,
dropping some more
saying that any car that moves will be targeted
isn't terrorism.
it's taking precautions to protect civilians.
when the side that claims
not to be targeting civilians
kills a thousand,
and the side that is alleged
to be targeting civilians
kills a small fraction of that,
one wonders whether
it's better to a target or not?
smart bombs
are made
and used
by stupid people.

there is stupidity
and there is arrogance
israel's leaflets are arrogance,
barely trying to cover their asses
in case someone from the UN complains,
israel knowing
or hoping
that everyone else in the world is more stupid than them
and that
is stupidity, for sure.
stupidity leading to arrogance
arrogance leading to genocide
cowboys following along
like the sheep they cant herd
children arent stupid
theyre just dead.

No, that's brilliance. they are counting that the American media and public is stupid. which is a very safe bet.
when Al Quada publishes threats that it will bomb Western cities, it is called what it is: terrorist threats. When Israel does the same, it is called compliance with the laws of war.
This comparison will never be discussed in the mainstream media. because it reveals the truth which is that the neocons like Bush and their ostensible allies are every bit as terroristic as their sworn enemies.
The one thing you can notice when you watch Nasrallah's speeches recently is that, in comparison with the Israeli government leaders and spokespeople, his tone is rather calm and sane. Of course, his speeches are only shown on CSPAN late night, while all during the day on the news and commentary programs people assert how much of an evil terrorist Nasrallah and Hezbollah are. and that may be true in the end. i'm no fan of them. but if they (meaning Hezbolah) are terrorists, the only difference between Hezbollah's terror and the IDF's terror is that the IDF, being better armed, is more a more effective, and destructive, terrorist force.

and the only difference between hezbollah and the US govt is that hezbollah knows how to take care of its people in times of disasters.

an international dialogue, starring a Human Rights Advocate and an Israeli Government Spokesman:
-- The Israelis are killing civilians!
-- Unlike Hezbollah, Israel never targets civilians. Hezbollah is using civilians as human shields.
-- How do you know that? What evidence is there?
-- We're killing civilians, aren't we?

In all of this, I think of the Palestinian Refugees. Nobody talking about them.
hezbollah knows how to take care of its people in times of disasters.
so does Hamas. Just before this Lebanon war started there was a offer on the table from the Hamas leaders who are prisoners in Israeli . I have heard it said that this whole bloody mess in Lebanon is a diversion from that offer. That Israel was shopping for a 9/11 attack to justify the war.
Sorry e-dog
wandering
but I can not think of the middle east with out thinking of the Palestinians.
You telling me stuff about Israel that I have known for years. Remember the USS Liberty.

chilling conceit of the year goes to the tough-talking ambassador:
Israeli Ambassador Defends Israel’s Actions
At the United Nations, Israel’s ambassador Dan Gillerman defended Israel’s actions over the past month.
Dan Gillerman: "The tragedy that we have seen in our region over the past weeks, it tells us, is but a preview of the coming attraction, produced by Iran, directed by Syria, acted by terrorist groups, soon to be seen in a theatre near you."
