Sixties Radicalism

I was perusing the Sixties book by Barry Miles with lots of great photos and quotes and blurbs and there's a bit on
Abbie Hoffman, who said (paraphrase) "I'm not anti-war. I'm for the (Vietnamese) National Liberation Front to win the war."
now of course the political causes are different. but just imagine what would happen to someone in america if they advocated the cause of the iraqi insurgent's in today's american imperial war?
