newly declassified documents show:

The documents state that through the fabrication of false evidence, the US would blame Cuba and gain public support for an unpopular war against Castro. They included developing a fake Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, the use of airplanes, and much more.

if members of the military during kennedy's administration could come up with this stuff (and read the article as well the seeded column on newsvine to see the connections to the current administration), i think it's safe to say that the bush administration, as run by cheney et al, is capable of much worse:

it's not wackos (solely) who are discussing the possibility of a conspiracy.

the details of the plot as they are put forth by loose change and other groups - what detonated when and where flights might have actually been and NORAD responses, etc., are immaterial.

the issue isnt that these movements, including 9/11 scholars for truth, a group of respected thinkers, are or arent able to fully prove this that or the other theory about this that or the other specifics of 9/11, it's that it's becoming increasingly obvious, to those who know how to read, that not only is the government willing and able to carry out such an event, but that this administration is and has been covering up details of its actions. they lie at every turn. if they would be up front, if they had been up front with the 9/11 commission, if they hadnt lied about every detail of our wars not only with iraq but also afghanistan, if they hadnt been already caught in illegal activities such as torture, warrantless surveillance, leaking classifed information, deliberately incorrect "intel," there would not be any need for the public or fully organized groups of scholars to speculate on what happened on 9/11.

you can debunk one claim or another. but it's not up to the public, in the end, to come to conclusions about our own history based on the scraps of information they are able to piece together. and what will possibly hit our own children's history books 10, 15, 20 yrs from now, unless we act, will be something drawn entirely by the spin of a deceitful administration. and as stated in the yahoo news story:

that's not even controversial, really, as far as the facts go. Al Queda was not possible without Bin Laden getting help from CIA during Afgan-Soviet war. Al Queda is, in effect, a rouge break-away faction of the CIA.

Secret plans mean nothing. There are contingency plans and hairbrained attack schemes for everything imaginable.

Crashing planes into buildings is not exactly a rocket-science idea. Putting locks on cabin doors isn't brain surgery. The airline companies, the FAA, the architects of the Twin Towers, all these fools are criminally negligent or indeed reckless and should be tried for something like mass homicide.

Let's Roll. let's hold accountable the government that's responsible for assisting Al Queda the most -- it ain't the Taliban and as hell ain't Sadam's gov't, but rather the U.S.A. government. I've said it before and i will say it again and again: the CIA is a terrorist organization.

But the docile brainwashed American public will never see the world as it really is, least of all now that Katy Couric is the permanent prime time anchor for CBS, replacing Dan Rather who was fired for airing a story that was not even demonstrated to be false! They go from Vietnam war correspondent to the cute lady with a bake sale demeanor. God bless America!
