He is in for a profoundly difficult job -- armed as he is with no credible Military Intelligence, no witnesses and only the ghost of Bin Laden to blame for the tragedy.

i believe that Hunter wrote that, but i find it hard to believe the claim that he wrote that ON the date of 9/11 ...?

were there "New York papers" printed same day, calling for war? (i ask this question sincerely)

thanks for posting this. it's good to know that hst's widow has a blog, plus i never knew the name of their farm, or ranch, anyhow, glad to see this from a healing perspective, owl farm ?
so lord knows , pardon, when it was printed, but she makes reference to the exact time that he worked on it. that day and into the next morning, an all-nighter, and of course there had to be calls for retribution, then saying that they seemed confused at first really connected with the emotional sentiment at the time, that anything was possible, we had near-martial law. with all civilian aircraft grounded, an intense national focus. the essay also points out the impending national security hu·bris, two days after, sept 13, 2002, suzie and i were driving our rental car thru kentucky, milwaukee to st pete, stopped, old guy said to me, "next thing they'll be whining about civil liberties!" christ, i was in shock already,

OK. It is 24 hours later now, and we are not getting much information about the Five Ws of this thing. The numbers out of the Pentagon are baffling, as if Military Censorship has already been imposed on the media. It is ominous. The only news on TV comes from weeping victims and ignorant speculators. The lid is on. Loose Lips Sink Ships. Don't say anything that might give aid to The Enemy.

the blog has been up for a while. it's worth reading, if only to appreciate the continued efforts of hst's widow and their circle of friends.

i do believe the post 9/11 article is in "hey rube". i can check it out tonite at home and let you know.

yes, that is my avatar indeed! absolutely. the doublethumbed fist holding peyote. to me, it expresses an intense refusal to believe the liars, warmongers and greedheads, and to live free or die.

the other connection hst has to 9/11, of course, is the fact that in the days before his suicide, he spoke pointedly to a couple of his friends that he had finally discovered for sure that the government was involved in 9/11.

i do believe he killed himself. i believe the govt has killed plenty of americans over the past half century or so in order to keep them quiet. but i dont believe that hst was one of them. no govt agent could have gotten close enough to his home to carry that out. however, i do feel it's likely that hst, along with all of his health problems, could not bear to live in the society he may have felt was running itself, and everyone nearby, into the ground.
