On Monday, March 19, 2007, workers and students will stay home, and people will avoid shopping. We will literally bring the war machine, which relies on all of us to function, to a screeching halt! We have a responsibility to shut down the war machine, because if we don't, no one will!
The first thing you can do is agree to refuse to go to work, go to school and/or shop on March 19 by endorsing our call. Next you can spread the word to your family, friends and coworkers.

I went to an Alan Ginsgerg poetry reading way back in the mid-1970's with my sister, Marg. it was in Ann Arbor. He told us the origen of the word usage in its anti-queer context. The queers were forced to be burned with the faggot sticks at the feet of witches being burned.

I can't remember the poet and I don't feel like googling for his name but he said something like "there is somone elses misery in every dollar we earn."
You know I am just a 66 year old novice pilgrim monk on the good Bodhi road, but I remember there are eight somethings (principles?) I think one of them is right lively hood.
"if I had to please everyone I would rather drive a truck"
"we got to serve somebody"
kind of a ricky nelson bob dylan night.
sorry for the ramble.

usually translated 'precepts' but i like your word 'principles' better.
seems less severe or authoritarianistical. yeah that latter is a word.

kinky friedman says we should call the ten commandments ten suggestions

strike! to the barricades! where is rudy the red when we don't need him.

sir, no sir,
i ain't the war machine.
principals of peace unknown
the misery unbound
true service profound
seeds of peace sown again and again
weeds in the garden
lady bug on a leaf
right livelihood
there is a path
liberation
will bring us peace
