weekly collaborations

Just an idea, one based on furthering the unification of the artists on this site- what about showcasing weekly (or bi-weekly) collaborations between two or three writers? Its based on the same concept of word jams where artists mingle and create only they have more time to prepare and edit before being showcased that week. Everyone can respond, or maybe we could have mini-groups that would form, tiny poetry groups who get together and freestyle and try to build a collective response to the other groups, but at a fast pace. It wouldn't be a contest but similar to those battle of the bands without the competition or the winning aspect.
Just a thought, it could be fun.

hey, Luce!
I just saw this... I love the idea of having a special spot for collaborations!
I'm not too hip on anything competitive but I think collaborative writing is awesome!
Let's talk about this more.
Do you have any ideas about how you would want to go about this?
Anybody else?
Maybe we could create a forum for this and the person who posts can name the person he or she wrote the collaborative piece with in the title line or something.
Non-competitive

I agree with you, I don't dig competitive endeavors, not my kind of thing.
What I meant was that it could be along those lines, the fast paced, quick and exciting feel of those battle of the band/poetry slams without all that competiveness and pressure of winning.
Well, I was thinking every week those who are interested in being the official collaborators should sign up. Then two or three poets could be selected randomly and given a week to gather themselves. They would then be showcased with their topic and given their own space to post their work. Those who want to respond can sign up and are instantly put in small groups with a time limit who have to whip up a compilation of all of their responses in order to post on the corresponding thread.
