I love you now perceived with eyes alone—
no spectacle my spectacles allow,
but crisp and cold, with blurry windswept grace
that takes no joy in “as it is” when “as
it may be manifested”
rides the cloud-
imagined-image overhead. Amen.
I went away to space uncharted where
I ventured out unmapped—and life was there.
And love was there. And you were there. Amen.
Imagine me a fig tree, green and proud
and full of vernal hope: a tree that has
all promises of fruit beneath its base
abundant, leafy nature—
what if now
untimely snow denuded me?
What’s shown?
"Every genuinely religious person is a heretic, and therefore a revolutionary" -- GBShaw

For Allen Ginsberg

Breaded be-speckled merry mirth maker who's ashes are now mixed with the millions of others
Yes even after tens years we still remember your spirit
The words you howled to us
Ommmmmmmmm I chant for you
April 5th 1997 - April 5th 2007
You are our Sunflower Sutra our Sunflower Sutra
You made see the light when the dark was around
Let's carry on now and keep you in our thoughts hearts and minds forever

Allen's spirit waves from the aeons
sailing through satori
sutra in hand
sunflower bowing its sweet yellow head
a beard in time
a whitman friend in the aisles
You, Allen, have ignited the soul of many a voice
my heart has cried over father death
my soul has sung with your fine audacity
you lived, you live, you will live

see ya in my dreams, AG

rising,
maybe jazz inspired --
one morning in spring,
like many here
he howled
urban voltage.
non-conformist
poets' evolution,
or is it revolution?

I know this to be true,
our reality
is NOT
what is dictated to us
by the news mongers
like CNN.

I know this to be true,
there are more good souls
on this planet
who care
and
act like they care
than there are teachers who run
and shooters.

I know this to be true,
only those who choose to stay in the dark
live without hope,
with perpetual anger,
live sad,
live blind.

I know this to be true,
like Rumi said
it's the light that lives in all our souls
that let's us see colours in the dark.
It let's us make music
and poems
and dance.

So come,
let's hold hands,
let me stroke your cheek,
listen and
be soothed,
then excited
by the rhythms of life,
let us hold each other
skin to skin
and dance
on this rainbow day!

so it is

chilly and full of surprises
some slaps, some blessed
kisses upon the brow
reality sandwhiches call
it life...............

Spring is like a girl I once knew.
Green paintbrush meadow on Sunday.
Polar ice cap wind on Monday...

Oh wait, that's my job... Never mind.
But I do so love my job,
like a girl I once knew,
in a green paintbrush meadow,
on Sunday...
