back to the ancient
bedouin and israeli search
where are we headed
desert days stretch to years

stringed instruments with tears in their eyes
looking out through dunes of then
who will recognize the moment of gold?
only the wolf cries tonight

shortest days
longest hours
where moments of nothing
are filled with flowers
hope blossoms
plucked
shoved in vases
for wilting

you smell nice
this nose knows
like spring showers
and gold ringed sunshine
in early morning hours
I smell nothing
your bright rays
overpower
my sensing
you stink good
I would know
I stink too
our auras intermingling
nonsensing

does it have to make scents?

Just as the days diminish from summer's birth,
the days increase from the low of winter's death,
'tho tis true my perception may be biased,
child of the sun that I am.

almost like a Hindu moment...
on the Simpson's when Moe said, "you only live once",
and Apu answered, "speak for yourself".
Could it be that death begins at birth,
just as rebirth commences at death?

into twilight night
another look at this season's christmas lights
then they are off
darkness flows in
lock the door
day is done taps

early morning will come soon
it will still be dark
if i am lucky going into work
i will see a hint of orange

i have forgotten the blazing inferno that comes with summer
only the gloom of darkness
and my melancholy smile
that grimly greets the day
waiting for that first burst of calm energy

this is where the spirit lives

Into the dark, it seems.
Came a little sooner than expected.
