thanks Jack.
man that book was a lot of miles and heat,
that's all I know. seems I saw something out there,
but who knows? maybe I just wanted to write about
the badlands or something. man I think I need
to go do
that.

maybe a shot too.
who knows?... resolutions are for suckers.
I'll make mine tomorrow.

I have resolved to change my chromosomes for 2010
I may try to grow another leg on my y
or maybe an extra x

I may go for plastic surgery too
I think I could stand another circumcision
Most of all I resolve to breathe more in 2010

inner voice
hoping for an audience
especially when it's silent

My inner voice is tired
Tired of being chosen
I am cultivating a more mellow voice
Something along the lines of a Viking beserker

I am going to change one way or another

you may settle for subtle change
little dams and oxbows in the chromosomes
but for a new year you need deeper change
change that you can believe in
right down to your nucleotides
which aren't good for swimming
but like sinister legos can
be assembled into angels or monsters
viscous as the future
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

Men do change, and change comes like a little wind that ruffles the curtains at dawn, and it comes like the stealthy perfume of wildflowers hidden in the grass. — Cannery Row
Vicious as the future
in a Palestinian refugee camp
pawns of the forces that orchestrate their misery

I am telling you Clay
Nothing sublte about the changes coming my way
No little wind ruffles my feathers
ii is a shrieking West Texas blue northern

Ha ha
The Fool dances on
Lets talk about the good times
women with fat babies
and home grown tomatoes
and Texas cooking

2010
Now I remember what it was
My own personal Mayan calender
My own little 2012
Happy New year

2010
the year I learned to play the saxophone
the year I learned to dance
the last rites of spring
turn the page

winter solstice Jam

Post by Steve Plonk » December 29th, 2009, 11:57 am

Sing a song of winter
As the snow comes hither,
Goodbye old comrades &
Remember those ones
Whose lives came to an end...
"The Lady D"Urbanville" song
Brings back my Dad's grief
Upon losing my Mother...
My grief upon losing a girlfriend...

My spouse is still with me these
Thirty-six years and I am warmed
By her piano playing...
I occasionally play guitar with her
or harmonica, but haven't done so
In a long time...

Have written sad songs but not
as poignant as some Cat Stevens &
John Lennon have composed...
One song lyric I wrote was "Postcard
of the Sand" which was about the death
of a cousin.

But enough of grief & sadness,
Let's tie one on and celebrate
Those still living with a prayer &
A hooty-hoot...

always loved that word
"beware"

and that's another one of those
special words, like "flow"
like jam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....
