stormy morning
judih sweets are delicious
even saboreados in the middle of tifon
(the building mourns
in uncountable sounds)
tifon?....I wonder why I feel
the weather
so south-east-asian
in the last months...
anyway
I had a plus of indoors rain
on late christmas night:
general water-cut in the afternoon
it seems the seventh floor neighbor
wanted to take a shower and wash the dishes
water started flowing again
but neighbor forgot to turn off the canillas and left...
well, well, well
ho ho ho
(all at the same time)
anger appears and passes
fruitful 3 hours of insomnio
I guess I can wave her again

lets rev it up
we got to get going
only three hundred and sixty four shopping days to Christmas
And the next big marketing push is St Valenine's day
Get them cards and checkbooks out
We got to keep on shopping or this thing will blow up in our faces

Sometimes I wish I had a time machine
I would go back to 5th grade and give Harriett Feldman a Valentine's day card

Hello 2010
my seventieth year in this best of all space time worlds.
Making resolutions
I am going to finally fly up and straighten right
leaf over another Eve

There was nothing I was looking for
nothing was what I need
not another thing to stuff nowhere
empty the want and greed

Funny what you will find
if you are looking for no thing
just discarded paper and boxes
and don't give me no bling

Have no use for another geegaw
no whatchamacallit or doodad
don't give me none of this stuff
(unless you wanna see me mad)

I am happy with nothing
no thing makes me dance
bare bones twist and shout
and give me a little romance

my little ditty for the jam (without the bread  )
Freedom's just another word...

Solstice Word Jam

Post by Steve Plonk » December 26th, 2009, 9:00 pm

"Jamming, jamming, I like de jamming, too..."
One thing about doing nothing, and going nowhere,
Hey, it don't matter what time you show up...
So you have the time to watch mushrooms grow &
Wait to see your shoelaces unravel...
As for me, I think I remember a song which I will embellish:
Just to pass nowhere away to somewhere and something,
'Cause if you work it, they will come... Thank you, Cap'n Beefheart...
***
I don't wanna kill my china pig,
My pig she neat, my pig she sweet,
She wears little cotton slippers upon her feet,
She leads me through the desert late at night,
She'd rather find a 'shroom or two, than fuss or fight...
I don't wanna kill that sweet china pig...

rembrandt
made those loverly bible scenes
also did everything else under the sun
including an etching of two male lovers, oy vey
plus he had jews for friends as did his wired countryman, van gogh
also a fine distiller of vodkas.

but vincent bless him was aggrieved sorely
and dear theo picked up his paintings
to honor them with his finger painting ancestor, and the other dutch old timers who liked to sketch peasants dancing at the inn for wayfarers and highwaymen.

don we now our gay apparel
fa la la la la la

where is saskia when we need her?Image

We love Arcadia
because she throbs across the solstice
her heart leaping over two tropics and the equator
bounced from a satellite of dreams and desire
plata lingua
I want her for my dictionary
her days are long while mine are short
more intriguing than espionage
we long for her like a distant pampas windsong
the Winter of my soul gazes into the Summer of her eyes
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

The Poet's Eye

Solstice Jam

Post by Steve Plonk » December 27th, 2009, 10:44 am

Fa la llama la la llama la la. Bless those alpacas, too. Their wool is warm.
Don't take no wooden nickels unless a free cup of joe is involved, and stay away from the alligators and 'bama fans. Thought poem, take 102.

This tire swing of life has its ups and downs. New Year is nearly here and I am on the upswing, kind folks and gentle people... The snow has missed us this time and we are eating "Swiss Knight" gruyere cheese and pork rinds. I know some folks think that is gross. But, I tried them together and they work for me with a cup of panamanian coffee. Scrape it from the bottom of the bag and stick it in "Mr. Coffee's Grandpa" the
old fashioned handmade percolator. Then drink the warm concoction & it is good for what ails yuh...Say hello for Jimboloco for me.

beneath the catoctin's
makin' my stand
shakin' my bake
jammin' my harps
all my raga machines

Solstice Word Jam

Post by Steve Plonk » December 27th, 2009, 12:29 pm

Dance this mess around,
Wrapped by a wall of my wife's piano sound,
Even though dawn done lashed my ash,
'Cause last night was a double-header bash...
Go spritely, go lightly and trippingly through
Last of the old year and into the new...
We've almost made it throughly
To the year most newly...
Wiggling our mind syntaxes,
Through all the year end faxes,
I know we've come quite far,
There's more mileage on my car.

...and more mileage than meets the eye
resilience is the key
survival of the wittest
so says I
we'll toast the decade
'til the decade no mo'!

There once was a year '09
What promised to be quite sublime
But whadya' know
I' all was fer show
the prime, the crime, the mime...

So off you go
Into deepening snow
Me, I'm here
In vagary's cheer
Strummin' on the ol' banjo

Ho! Ho! Ho! (Redux)
LIFE IS NOT MEASURED IN CONVERSATIONS UNSPOKEN

Does anybody know
What year it is?
Here we go round
The merry go
It has been fun
I hope I get another turn
