what's on the end of my fork?
I am a see-food junkie
But I clam up at the sight of a veggie
More fruits and fibers
in 2010

Heavy traffic jams are too thick to spread on toasted bread
Yet, light topic jams are too thin for Fred’s posted bed

Strawberries too, sugared and jammed into our ears and naval
We’ll jam them back out, and into our mouths, just as soon we’re able

If radio signals are jammed, no sounds left to hear
Just jam the jammer’s gears, using Marc Anthony’s Roman ears

But, if ever you get to sunny Jam. on blue Montego Bay
You’ll stop all your jamming here, and forever there you will stay

sugarless, all live jam
poppin with wild mild stones
non-nuked scrumptious
ripped and scribbled
full floor painted disco delight

The Human Use Of Human Beings
The Egg head's dream
Norbert's wiener is smoldering in the pie
he stuck in his thumb
a sugar plumb
not so dumb

language
confusion
green eggs
and jam

In 2010
still hoping
for humans
being
more humane
watched over
by machines of loving grace

Dear Jam Motor Company,
I hope you'll quickly come-for-me.
We're not just talking a stall, you need a recall.
This car will never start. It'll take more than a part.
It's an automotive stumper.
It seems my tongue is stuck to the bumper.

Oh, won't you please, I'm here on my knees.
If only you will, my nose is pressed up against the grill.
The night's becoming colder, and I am getting older
Just beginning to wheeze, what if I sneeze?!
Then my tongue it would tear, leaving half there,
and the rest just a stumper.
My tongue is still stuck to the bumper.

Can't you send a mechanic, I'm starting to panic.
There should be some tool, I'm clearly no fool,
I know there's a trick for making a bumper slick.
I'll never lick a bumper so yicky, if you'll come quickly.
Oh, won't you make haste, I grow tired of this taste.
My life's in the dumper,
My tongue is stuck to the bumper.

"you can trust your car
to the man who wears the star.
The big, bright Tex-a-co star!"

I got ad jingles from the '60s
stuck in my head for some reason
no reason for it, no reason at all.
I can still see the grainy reception,
the bad graphics, the rabbit ears,
the aluminum antenna trees...

roll a six lane hangover
to the old hangars and shot-up factories
down the vines from hangar nine, the boys
used to wire their mammoth pratt & whitneys
wipe oil from their brows, feed screaming raptors
we won the war, built some highways
gas pumps, roadhouses, neon swoop,
jet age swing, runways and factories
lots of factories, roll those six lanes
oil-slicked over twenty rotted rail spurs
desert rising rusted on peeled billboards
broken barstools, past the Atomic-a-Go-Go,
the old coffee shop, taped vinyl, cracked formica
bacon grease and black joe, grainy reception,
old ad jingles, tangible, pre-digital grime.
he witnessed the fateful battle
when physics fell to hordes of circuits
forced underground, binary, something changed
music was shinier, vibration more petrified
pain a little less real to touch
he can't put his finger on it

sorry, just riffin' on the "urban desert badlands" thing.
not sure why.. stole some of this from my old pomes.
don't mind me...

gotta run, y'all have yer fun..

to the gone world
that is disappearing before our eyes
welcome to the future
will have been

Is busy being born
Watched over by
machines of loving grace

so...
to end or not to end!
sharpened vision
too much rain
or too much tv
(that were the hypothesis)
back from animal planet holy faith countryside weekend
the unusual visitors:
three little grey lechuzas,
a big design iguana
and a brown to shiny-green caviar eyed
chicharra´s silent metamorphosis
urban night continuation

please pardon me
as one year scribbles into next
I got
static in the attic
bats in the belfry
naked to the lidless eye
to find the spirit in the desert
the whirlwind that spins my soul
so many thousands years gone by
and the memory lingers of a god who was there

The gone world lingers in architecture
Doric columns or synagogues
Fasces on government buildings
Pyramids on the money
the past is never past
the lies go on
we need them
cold comfort
cruel comfort
that the truth can be

I heard someone say human thought took a wrong turn thousands of years ago.
Yeah we should have never climbed down from the trees

what sort of god is this.
No more manna
just a banana
Banana god
yellow and mushy
I would have preferred coconut God
A cargo cult

What was it they heard
when God spoke to man
I am that I jam
