thanks, soozen!... thought it might fit for 911

i've got to figure out a better system... after 5 years you'd think i'd have it down by now but i don't... 'cause reading through the thread, it's hard to figure out who's talking about which banner

i used to have the banner images thread combined with the banner comments thread but i thought that was confusing and i separated them... and now i want to combine them again...

ahh.. i'm so fickle...

:D

but i DO know which banner you're talking about 'cause i'm replying the same day it's up there and .... thank you!

i call this photo "a little bit of heaven in you're own backyard" 'cause that's what my dad used to call it when he'd see a similar sky after a storm with rays of light streaming down

(this is one of the first banners created for this site, btw.. )

later, i'm going going to get the banners to automatically rotate when someone refreshes the page or hits another link

that will be different, too... might be fun! gotta find techie help

one day.. one day...

SooZ... Yes! I love that banner, too! Great shot by Cecil! Creates a nice atmosphere. That's why I kept it up for 3 days.

Now to find something else. What would you like to see?

Thank you Arcadia, Cecil and SooZen.

SooZ... a happy banner for a happy birthday! ;)

It's acrylics and oils on canvas, Cecil. This is cropped for the banner. I posted the full size in the Visual Arts forum.

dave the dove's photo is beautiful. love the maple leaves turning and fortunately, I will be in SC around the right time to see the Smokey Mtns change their clothes.

BTW, where is that dave the dove? I miss him. Will have to send him one of my "famous post cards."

I'm going to redo how this is set up as soon as I can figure it out.

What I'd like to do is create a separate thread for each banner so that the comments about the banners are under the image of the banner.

Trying to think this thing out. The way it's set up isn't working and never has been working... I separated the banners from the comments and that made it worse than it was before but even before with the banners and comments together, it was hard to tell which banner people were referring to.

Anyway, thanks to all the artists and photographers for their banner contributions! .... and to everyone who keeps supporting the banners with your comments!

I also definitely want to make them rotate on their own (when you click a new page or refresh a page, a different one would come up) and I need to hire tech support to do that but one day that will happen.
