I see her coming in on the red boat, I liked it
it does feel good to look at.

mark to mark
rothko's work is haunting
i remember sitting in the phillips gallery
in d.c. and feeling the buzz
of it's power 30 years go
they are like portals to his troubled soul
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

i love the rothko painting, too ... but too bad it's been up there for 2 weeks. can't seem to find the time to change the banners regularly.

(i liked your banner, too, mark!... of course!)

i need a techie person to help by writing some code that makes them change automatically

i've been wanting to do this for two years ... lol... life has temporarily slowed down.... it will pick back up but i can't guarantee when

there are probably 30 new banners i haven't added to the archive of banners gallery thread

i used to have a problem keeping up with myself
now i'm so far ahead of myself, i don't know how to back up
in order to bring myself along
but there are reasons the universe gives us slower days
it's so we can appreciate how fast time passes

Doreen, love the watercolor banner! The energy is wonderful and the colors are yahooo!!! Do you have a place where I can see the whole painting? I see flowers and birds or butterflies and water, a path and sunlight but would love to know what you saw. A great expression!
Freedom's just another word...

all over this land, the song of freedom sisters calling men to become brothers

What an absolutely gorgeous photo by Glorious Amok!
Expansive and peaceful. I want to be there, wherever that is.

She lives in Canada but if I remember correctly, she had taken a trip overseas and this is somewhere in Europe... I'm sorry, I don't remember exactly where. Really lovely, I agree!

The road is so fantastic in portraying such an oz or wonderland or ennui, Doreen. I'd want to be on it, too.

but you're all certainly welcome to check out what's up there so far, and i hope you'll enjoy your min-journey along the river Vltava.

Thanks for the link and additional info ST. It was helpful.
Beautiful photo, beautiful place.

...

Today's banner, Bennie Torrance's purple butterfly, is striking as well.

...

Doreen, your painting is outstanding. As always, I love the bright vibrant colors and bold strokes. I apologize for not saying so in my first post. I didn't mean to overlook your work. I posted on impulse first, and then went back through the older postings in the thread.

Re: Daily Banners – Comments

I just saw this post, Deb. Thanks! (unfortunately I don't know which painting/banner you're referring to .. lol.. but I do thank you. Maybe "the road" image I posted above.... probably... :)

I really need to figure out a way to post the banners one at a time for responses... We used to have the banner gallery and the comments posts combined but I wanted to have the gallery in a separate thread so people can see all the banners together... and now that the threads are separate, I don't know if I did the right thing.

Maybe one day, I'll post the individual small banners in the "Gallery" thread on individual threads....

I just discovered this past weekend that we have 350 banners! Whoa!

Auto-banner rotation is coming soon. It's in the works. You're going to love it. Every time you click or refresh, there will be a different banner to see ... It's going to be like a dynamic gallery of images at the top of the page.
