every day the banner mysteriously disappears... the balcony pic i just put up is way too green... gotta fix it... on this monitor anyway, it appears that way and yes, ms. mousey, i do realize that i am an absolute riot... i am so funny people beat my dor down just to get in so they can hear me do my routine... nightly! it's true! would i lie to you!?

here's the image ms. deb was referring to...

Image

I bet one thing... I bet that damn dead bird ain't laughin' now, eh?

lol

so now I gotta go fix the green in the balcony banner... never a dull moment... wish I was sitting up there sipping a pina colada or however you spell it with all you internet friends, though then again, i hate cocoanut and I can't spell that either and rum rubs me the wrong way...

Here's a new Studio Eight Contest.

Find the dead bird.

And the trash.

Go!!!!!

LOL!

mousey1 - Sometimes you crack me up. This ain't one of those times, though. Have I lost my sense of humor? I think not. There is no dead bird in my photo.

~chuckling~

I knew it was a weird question, thank you Doreen for answering. Eric will be happy, and Cal's going to be grumbling.

And I'm like mousey ~ just LMAO!

This whole thing has brought back an old(y but goody) musical memory ....

Take out the papers and the trash
Or you don't get no spendin' cash

If you don't scrub that kitchen floor
You ain't gonna rock and roll no more
Yakety yak (don't talk back)

Just finish cleanin' up your room
Let's see that dust fly with that broom
Get all that garbage out of sight
Or you don't go out Friday night
Yakety yak (don't talk back)

You just put on your coat and hat
And walk yourself to the laundromat
And when you finish doin' that
Bring in the dog and put out the cat
Yakety yak (don't talk back)

Don't you give me no dirty looks
Your father's hip; he knows what cooks
Just tell your hoodlum friend outside
You ain't got time to take a ride
Yakety yak (don't talk back)

Yakety yak, yakety yak
Yakety yak, yakety yak
Yakety yak, yakety yak
Yakety yak, yakety yak

Yakety Yak

Hi Deb -

Here's the original photo. Click it to enlarge it if you'd like.

No dead bird. No trash. I remember the song, though. One of the rocks in the front at the bottom looks blurry. Lousy photographer.

Glad to give you all a laugh.

Who are Eric and Cal?

L-Rod asks:
Who are Eric and Cal?
Son & hubby.

And I don't mean to stir any thing up... really.

This is how it all came up:

I'm in my office, and they come in behind me. Eric's looking at the birds I'm home caring (I keep them in my office), and Cal's looking for something (but I don't remember what now).

I'm working at my computer. I go to S8 ... and I'm looking at the banner, and I mused outloud ...

I wonder what that is?

And that's how it all started .... because I mused outloud; I asked a question, and then another one!

~LOL~

The moral of all this (if there is one!) Deb ~ Keep your mouth shut; and muses to yourself!

:D

Deb - It was me who asked who Eric and Cal were.

No, no problem at all. Say anything. Hell, if I inadvertantly took a photo of a dead bird and put it on my banner without seeing it, I'd want to know!!!!! LOL!! I know I'm going blind. Truly. I certainly wouldn't want something like that on my banner. So, keep speaking. :)

What dead animals do you see in the balcony photo that's up there now, by the way? heh ;)

You keep birds in your office? I think you mentioned this before.... That's very cool! What type of birds? I used to have budgies. My sister has a parrot .... she's having a tough time with him. Hormones or something. He's biting her. Any advice? She may have to give him up.

-----------

LRod -
I almost posted an ink blot, too. LOL!... jinx! ;)

Lrod....

I spy in your inkblot...

Two large birds carrying off a

PUPPY!!!!

Is there no end to this carnage!!!!!!!

WhimseyDeb.....too right.....I've had such fun with this....thanks for pointing out the  dead birdie!!!! :)

Okay, I'll shut up now before Doreen slaps me! :D

Doreen: Even with the large picture (thank you L-Rod, VERY CLEAR btw) … I’m so blind I still can’t tell what the heck it is! ~LOL~ I’m thinking it’s just junk (leaves etc). As to what Cal & Eric will decide it’ll be … well, I have to wait to this evening – but I’ll let you know.

I suppose from here on out this banner we be known as the Deb’s Dead Bird Banner. (oh dear. ... )

As to the birds in my office at the moment: … The quick answer is: 2 baby Western Scrub Jays and 2 baby British House Sparrows; and the why is cuz I’m a wildlife rehab’er.

They’re not pets; I work a shift in a local Wildlife animal hospital; and then I also take care of some at home just long enough so they can get back to their own wild lives. So I end up with all kinds of birds, and so far only birds – though they (the supervisors at the hospital) would love it I also would take home some of the baby raccoons that are coming in right now, as well.

This is my 3rd set of scrubbers this year; and I have some photos of my last set that I took about a week ago; and still have two young ones (pre-fledges) left. The 4 older ones went to the aviary yesterday (I have some pictures of them ~ maybe I’ll put a couple up over in Visual Arts); and I came home with the two new house sparrows – which is what Eric was looking at in my office … as I was looking and reading over here. :)

Oh... check this out; for you & your friend with birds ... you might like this site:

Now to the inkblot:

A moth!
They’re always moths. (what’s the big deal)
:D
~LOL~

Hi Deb.

It was me who posted the bigger, original shot, not LR. Me.

But if you can't see, then that's probably why you missed my name. LOL!

The photo is just rocks and grass. Rocks and grass. That's it. A couple of dead brown leaves from last year. And a weed.

Nothing much to see. Just rocks, grass, dead leaves and a weed.

I sorta liked it! ;) Don't worry, we won't dub it "Deb's Dead Bird Banner." I already named it. It's called "Rocks and Grass." Good name for it, 'cause that's what it is! :D

Thanks for the info about your bird work.... interesting! And thanks for the link! Would love to see photos of the birds! (But make sure they're alive, ok? ;))

Doreen - I'm sorry, I mistook your posting as L-Rod's and I'm sorry we (myself and my family) mistook your photo to be anything other than rocks and grass. We meant you no disrespect, in any form or way. Please accept our apologies. Thank you. Deb
