they call it fall
i call it a joke
summer colours
summer humidity
summer sky

night drops faster
tricks of the trade
summer day, till evening falls

so often empty is the pew
when summer's hot and saints are few
but masses not
is what they've got
when autumn's skies fall crisp and blue

Every season gives birth to itself,
then dies-
Giving way to new life,
again.

continuation road
& appreciation points,
september -southern style-
engages us with new begginings
while calendar´s complexities
drops clarity
again!

It's a drop in
a drop in the bucket
leading to a pale full.

Easing in, one letter falls
and then another and another begins
till the pathway is littered with them
kicking up a stir
surefooted
the little girl
always close to the surface
rushes in
words ajumble
laughing.

You cheer me up
and I felt a leaf drop,
I was happy it was you
coming down out of the trees.

Crashlandings.
Numb years.
It wasn't
you and you and you.
It was
pricks in dreams.
Bursts in bubbles.
Water on fire
that did it.
Shooed me to here,
contempt masking
sorrow.
You and you and you
and me.
Clashing cliches`.
Moths to light.
Flame to a cigarette.
Unforgettable.

due to unforeseen circumstance
here i am
aloft in a fall situation
certain to ride this breeze
till a hurricane shoots me down

My community of words
aren't coming together.
To participate in autumn's
transitional endeavor.
So I'll sit in a pile of
virtual leaves.
And meditate on
the falling.

count the falling leaves
in a hurricaine wind breeze
pricks in bridegroom suits
and polyester brides

So out of sync
with the seasons of my life
I woke up a bitter old man

September will come in October this year

Michigan gets cold, but the fall, oh man the fall

the beauty, like Maine, trees and leaves oh my
brief breeze with a sneeze, donuts, hay bales
pumpkins with candles around the corner

nice cider to warm her up
scotch, no glass, thank you

she mumbles something about a hot summer
we, her and I, do this yearly around now
being fall and all

always made sense to us, that way
our way, suppose we never did it right

even though we still speak
the fall really is what brought us together

plush and lush

of sum sung summers
and simmering falls

summing up
what Summer's done

to fall flat
on Autumn's back.
