down the rabbit hole, her
whole being unable to
resist his most tempting
hop and leap, and when
she fell, she fell deep
into his hare.

oh what magic this
most unfair trick
of a chase, race,
and whoooshhhhh,
she slips and there
he is, all whiskery,
his ears so big
to hear her
every word.

the absurdity
of it all never ceases
to amaze! the way
a crafty rabbit plays
hide and seek!

Do approve of our fantastic
familiar in rooze chess,
the angry parade
and yes, yes,
we're all much rabbit,
dress for it.

Fairly acquainted, I'd say,
for she paints her lashes on
in my lighted mirror,

...stage right will be right back,
dressing for the next act.

In the mean time I'll tell you this,
it's of a convenience she's here
for I've our summer-time sister
wearing a rabbit hat
to interrupt the viewing
of her sea dilated soul,
what a prize
I've been to her
for I'm in the wrapping
then unwrapping
business
and she's naughty.

"Who's permitting this?"
she rolled on the roulette,
"Why, it's a quest,
a quest for the scared unicorn
with the pearly horn."

And here he ignores her flush,
"It's much just plain horniness,
and only we've to find the elusive white rabbit
in a tall party hat."

Exit to me through the curtain,
give a side-way scat
and curtsy with his fur-tail in hand
or if you won't, he might skedaddle down
some mystic whole.
