It's Groundhog/Candlemass Day so get up and go.
If you need to go shovel that snow,
If you don't have snow then get up and share,
'Cause life is made of cold and hot air...

Life is made to enjoy while you can
Whether you're a woman or whether you're a man,
You might still be a boy or a girl,
Whatever your status, let your words unfurl

Speak to the common voice in us all
Speak so we may hear you in the internet hall
Speak with words so clever and tight
That they'll keep us inspired and get us through this night

We all have a word or two to express
To write us therapeutically out of this mess
World keeps turning as my head is burning
With formulas & logic & pent up emotion
Can't wait for a massage and some body lotion...

So all you folks with burning heads and sore backs
Come up from the backyard railroad tracks
Get on your PCs and 'cause such a buzz
That it sings out a tune even more than this does...
A message for action to get on the wave

In the home of free and the land of the brave...
'Cause democracy is spreading, 'cause the word is about
That we are a country who lets it all hang out...

So bring out the cymbals and ring out the gongs
To ready the world for more freedom songs.
Ziggyboogiedoo!

past the point
of no return
into the blizzard season
if one comes????
or 2.....3.....4.....
a rarity until last year
the blizzard that is
i remember a couple growing up
mostly nice memories of march
when the lion roars
bob marley b-day night
the nola club full of celebrants
i remember when i was the
only one wearing his tee
back in the 70's
when they said reggae would never last
2011 and all the white kids in dreads
bob a holiday and going strong
like jack kerouac he stands the test
of time and we all know
that's what it's all about
if you live long enuff you'll
see the go around/come around
we're rounding the winter bend
pitchers and catchers report in a couple a weeks

The sun has chosen to warm my body....Through the window it shines...Casting a warming light across the room...The cat curled in it's bosom...I just sit and watch...

I can't
get out of this winter.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

a spring
rainbow

a halo around
an equinox

The weather seems so unusual
Changeable. Go from the seventies to the twenties
just like that.

Constantinople is Istanbul
Global Warming is Climate Change
and it ain't nobodies business but the jerks

I could use those images of spring
spring comes early here
be here any day now

Still Trucking, Yes, the snow snapped Dorothy and friends out of the field of poppies spell.
Speaking of funny snow, we got two inches of snow Thursday morning and
most of it melted the same day! "Toto stop your barking, we ain't in Kansas
no more!" Yeah, and tonight we freeze right to the bone...
***
Tunisia and Egypt had a meltdown. What's next? "Wild in the Streets"
like in the movie of same name? Imagine Egypt's power structure listening to rabble in the streets and having the army take the rabble's side? Hope mess
like that doesn't hit the fan and spread elsewhere.

Now only the junta knows where Egypt is going to be. Reminds me of Greece in the late sixties when a junta took over there. Did anyone ever see the movie "Z"? You new mods need to see that movie. I think Katie Couric (CBS) oughta see that movie if she hasn't already. People died in that Cairo crowd.
Whatever that spell is, we need to snap out of it.
***
Oh well, these things happen. Rather talk about the weather...
Oh, what in the world happened to Dan Rather? We need him back. 8)

Well, who could tell? Here in Chattanooga, Tennessee, we got a warm spell...
The weather is like a day in late March...mid-sixties! What's up with that?

What about that place in Newalla, Oklahoma which had -31 degrees farenheit and then this week had temps in the upper sixties? Wow!~ Stranger weather out there!
