OK. I guessed right then.

My cable IP# is static. It stays the same.

When I dial up on AOL, every time I do, AOL assigns me a new IP#. The dial-up is my back up for when the cable goes out. That's dynamic.

No, I can't ban you.... not unless you start acting like an asshole by disrespecting people.

If you hate it here that much, though, that you think it would be kind to ban you, you are welcome to not post.

But we'll miss you if that happens.

Wonderful people here.

I am thinking about that drawing by jimboloco a lot these days. The Broken Road. I hope he posts it so I can jam it.

Thanks everyone. Your kindness is appreciated. Doreen you're a sweetheart, of course it's nothing you've done.

I thought I explained everything here in this post to Ax's "beach bitch" thread.

http://studioeight.tv/phpbb/viewtopic.p ... c&start=30

I'll repost it as I think perhaps it got lost in all the word shuffle.

I said,
I think some of you know that my initial post was pretty much tongue in cheek ragging on Ax about his spelling. I have nothing against Ax and would like to see him do well. We pretty much cleared everything up in those first few posts; however, when he chose to throw in one last remark saying "Just do not point out small spelling mistakes in snide ass holeish ways..." I got my hackles up and responded in kind. Petty of me.

In retrospect I can see how my initial post may have sounded like a personal attack; but I assure you it wasn't. I really just wanted to use the "cock of tease" line as a little play on the phrase "cup of tea" and then I decided to tease him a bit about his spelling. Again, I thought all that had been straightened out in the first few posts.

In the last two years I've responded to Ax a few times and we've had some nice conversations. I never thought there was any animosity between us. He can sometimes be unkind and my humor sometimes, maybe often, falls way short of the mark, and I can sometimes be unkind. And words in these text boxes can often read in a way not necessarily intended. I haven't been on the net all that long and still need to use alot more smileys I guess.

firsty, you have vilified me without ever knowing me. That is your right to do so. I do also see that others agree with you, so I may be coming off like a brash bitch and that will not do.

Ax, I wish you all the best. Sorry that things got out of hand.

I find all this pretty upsetting. Believe it or not I usually do try to get along. Silence has always been my thing, I think I shall return to it.

No hard feelings anyone, I hope. Sorry for popping back in again.

Zlat, thank-you so much for your words and wisdom. You are exactly right. Also, the "I understand not being understood" part made me weepy-eyed because that's exactly how I've been feeling. I typed and typed and typed and my true intentions, thoughts, feelings and meanings never seemed to be understood. I began to feel guilty. Anyway, you made me breathe a sigh of relief, thanks so much for understanding. :)

Geoff, thank-you for your words and your apology it was very nice of you. I want you to know though, and have stated it elsewhere, that I don't feel any animosity towards you at all, we both spoke our minds, aired our feelings. By all means speak your mind, call me on anything I say, I appreciate honesty in discourse.

Some people here have the mistaken idea that Geoff is the reason why I'm not posting right now, please lay that notion to rest. I have absolutely nothing against him.

I have a hard time sometimes deciphering peoples meanings here, I'm sure that I am not all that easy to understand myself, so I try to give the benefit of the doubt that no one is intentionally being hurtful. I know that I certainly don't want my words to hurt anyone. I will just say that yes, I feel I was verbally skewered by someone without cause, but since no one else can see it perhaps it is just me being oversensitive.

I'm really not much of a fighter you know, mostly just pathetic bluster.

Anyway, thanks to all of you who cared enough to weigh in on this. I appreciate being thought about in a good way. I'm meant to be harmless you know, sort of a comic on acid.

A very helpful thread, thanks all.
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

Clay says he understands me about half the time, which is a pretty good batting average for me.

Firsty says nobody understands me

I don't know if I understood you

I just liked the sound of your voice

Like listening to the ocean
or children's laughter
or the sound of a train
I was afraid I had poisoned this well for you

now i can go.
see ya
